What I call our “Contribution” is anything we contribute to the human race that comes directly out of our own one-of-a-kind experience. When you find it, your life’s purpose is to share it — to “Contribute” it — with the world. The Phenomenal Experience
The six human needs focused upon in Tony Robbins work suggests that we have four fundamental needs: certainty/comfort, uncertainty/variety, significance and connection/love. We also need growth and contribution to address our spiritual needs and this rounds out what has been defined as our six basic human needs.
Growth can often be associated with a range of success factors. For most of us there is no life without growth. Many of us can choose to play small and or keep our life in comfort zones. But this is often associated with living in conflict with the Laws of the Universe. For some people it can be difficult to accept growth, as it often requires living with uncertainty and this can be uncomfortable. Growth opportunities appear for all of us all the time, but an individual must be committed to making the change in order to experience this growth. It is fair to say that many of us prefer certainty and perhaps shy away from growth yet it is important to our spiritual needs.
Many of us come into contribution often from our challenging moments. It is these moments that often lead us to share and contribute. Contribution can stem from loss and it can be in moments of sincere gratitude and grace that we fully understand how we are all uniquely different and do have something to share or give back.
Contribution seems to be very important to our spiritual needs. It can be defined as a sense of service and focus on helping, giving to and supporting others. Contribution along with growth are strongly linked to fulfillment. When our attempts to reach fulfillment fail, we can often settle for comfort—or for meeting our needs on a small scale. Playing small robs us personally of fulfillment and as well the community of your gifts.
For a life filled with meaning, fulfillment is a driving force we need to experience. The dictionary defines it: “satisfaction or happiness as a result of fully developing one’s abilities or character.” This definition can be elusive as many of us are looking for the right pieces to put together so that it can happen as if by magic.
Key in your discovery process is the need for a program that helps you overcome the low states of energy that can hold you back and keep you in resistance. Just wishing for good days is not enough to create the required causative energy. Letting events control your thoughts and feelings can leave you feeling doubtful and in disarray and also a long way from the feeling of fulfillment and the basic human needs of growth and contribution.
To obtain the feeling of inner-strength and the ability to guide your life in the direction of fulfillment. One needs a plan with action sets and milestones. In order for our lives to change for the better, there is a need for self-change. Often harder to do due to our basic needs or motive of comfort and security. With the realization of the need for change and support in creation of a plan it is easier to adjust personal behaviors which then set up the necessary synchronicity for more and more opportunities to come your way and be part of creating a life of fulfillment. Most of us have a desire to do well and contribute great things. Tapping into the feelings of inner-strength and fulfillment have been shown to be enough for us to move mountains.
