If you are like most people, you are looking outside of yourself for things that will make you happy. This article is about looking within to be happy
A good title for a book, no doubt but also a good life lesson in the book.
Although I haven’t yet read the book, I was able to catch the OPRAH show yesterday to see what it was about. If you don’t know Terry’s story she was blindsided by her husband’s announcement that he was gay and felt totally betrayed. That anger stayed with her for 3 long years. The book she written was base on this life experience and about letting go of the anger, resentment and even hatred inside of you and moving beyond that to happiness.
You see, when you carry those kinds of negative emotions around, it consumes you. It consumes your energy, your time, and your happiness.
When you are holding those emotions inside of you, what happens?
You continue to attract more opportunities for negative things to happen to you so that you continue to feel the same way, angry, resentful, and the negativity just keeps growing and growing and growing.
That is why so many people are stuck in that place of negativity. They are in the mode of expecting more of it and when it happens they feel like lashing out or attacking other. The rationale way of thinking is gone, they are too focused on what has happened to “them” and are so focused on “them” that they can’t see the person or incident that occurred has moved on. If it was a former spouse or friend, this person is going about their life smiling, laughing having a great time. While you are still stuck. Stuck in the negative garbage and still angry.
So how do you come unstuck you might ask? I am asking you…..do you REALLY want to move out of the anger and willing to do the work? Or do you want to continue to walk around angry and lashing out and missing a great life?

Here is a process from Abraham-Hicks “Ask & it is Given” that will help you work through these negative feelings.
Each subject is really 2 subjects – desire and the lack of what they want. (ie. #). You need to consciously identify the vibrational frequency of the though. It is a negative feeling you are focusing on the lack of something in your life.
Write a brief statement to describe how you feel about the subject. Describe what happened and how you feel. Write another statement that amplifies exactly how you feel. Keep these thoughts flowing. Now go back and identify the feeling associated with each of those statements (same, worse, slightly better or better). It is important to leave everyone else’s ideas, desire, opinions and beliefs aside while you identify for yourself how YOU feel!
After you’ve had the opportunity to review your statements, go back and re-write something that would feel slightly better. Each time writing another thought that would feel better until you get to a place about the subject
where you feel O.K. with it.
So the next time you get caught in a negative emotion don’t spend hours, days or weeks brewing in it and attracting more of it. Use this process to move out of that negative zone immediately.
