Greater possibilities are available to you

Possibility is omnipresent. It is always around, always within you. Possibility is wherever you are, and wherever you go.
At age 33, Marva had nothing, except her nine-year-old son. They were impoverished. They had no running water, owned mostly ragged clothes, and were often uncertain about their next meal. Marva decided that there had to be something better, and that she would step out and create that something for herself and her son. Everyday, she spoke with people about opportunities. She did that until she learned about an opportunity in another country to clean and cook for a family. She seized the opportunity, and kept moving forward. Through her actions, she helped her son complete university, built her home, and has transitioned into a nursing career.
You have to step outside of your comfort zone and into the world of the unknown to experience possibility.
If the life you are living now is not the life you want, change it. You have the power to create the life you want to live. The world is filled with possibilities. No matter what your current situation is, you can seize greater possibilities for your life.
First, you must accept that greater possibilities are available to you, and that you are deserving of experiencing such possibilities. Many of the world’s most successful people started out with nothing, but the belief in their own possibilities. Steve Jobs, for example, didn’t have an easy life; he was an orphan that was adopted by a poor family. He never finished college, dropping out after 18 months to take random, creative classes. Jay-Z, one of the most successful musicians of all time, came from absolutely nothing. He is originally from Marcy Houses, which was one of the worst project areas of Brooklyn New York. His mother raised him after his father abandoned him. He never graduated high school and was selling crack-cocaine back in his day. Oprah Winfrey had to overcome impossible odds to achieve her success. She rose from a life of hardship and adversity to become one of today’s most influential TV hosts and media moguls. She had to overcome poverty, sexual abuse and her own teenage pregnancy.
Of course, there are many others – men and women who accepted that greater possibilities were available to them, and went about seizing them to create the life they want. People like Howard Shultz (Starbucks), J. K. Rowling (Harry Potter), Arnold Schwarzenegger (Movies & Governor). You are now one of them, if you choose. You, too, can seize possibility to create something great. Acknowledge and choose to operate from the possibility that exists inside, and all around you. Then, approach each day as if it is your last day to be and do great. I learned this from my mother, Marva. So, it’s true!
Until next time,
Create something amazing!
Love & Blessings,
Pete
