3 Ways to Accomplish Your Goals for 2015

Design It- Now is a good time to put your imagination to work. Are there new things that you would like to try? Do you have a goal that you would like to accomplish? Many people enter the New Year with lofty ideas of what they would like to do. Remember, that having fun while making productive changes is essential. Many people become frustrated because they do not see results quickly. This makes it tempting to fall back into old habits. One helpful way to avoid this, is to incorporate weekly assessments of your progress. Become diligent in paying attention to the things that worked well for you or any obstacles you may have faced. Then, make any necessary adjustments to ensure success.
Support It- I share with clients all the time the importance of having a solid support system. Healthy support systems are important to the success of reaching your goals. It is critical that when making changes, you have people that are there to encourage you along the way. Many people try to make changes with only themselves to rely on. I do not recommend this. Keep in mind, you are doing something that either doesn’t come easily or naturally. It would feel empowering to have people around you that can understand you and help hold you accountable to your goals.
Protect It- Positivity, positivity, positivity! Surround yourself with positive people, thoughts, and ideas. Not everyone is going to understand or approve of your goals, but if they are important to you, then defend them at all cost. Envision success and what it will feel like reaching your goal. Refuse to allow any negativity to get into your spirit no matter how small. Remember why your goals are important to you and what you have to lose if you are not successful.
