Vision

Without vision people perish, (prov.29:18)
Perish means flounder. Without vision you will flounder. But you won’t be the only one floundering. You will flounder, people you are responsible for will flounder and people you are responsible to will flounder.
What I mean here is no one, including you, will have any idea as to where you are going or what you want to accomplish.
You are never too young or too old to have vision.
The bible says.. Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. (Acts 2:17).
A dream is just vision in sleep…
Do not expect people, even those close to you, to understand or to agree with what you see at first. If you see it and you believe it, before it’s there, pursue it. However, at some point, you will have to be able to articulate it so others can catch it and run with it with you.
This means if you are in business, your employees or staff has to catch it. If you are the head of the house, your family has to catch it.
Someone seen an automobile before there was an automobile! Someone seen an airplane before there were airplanes! Someone seen electricity before there was electricity! Someone seen a telephone before there were telephones! Someone seen a computer before there were computers! Someone seen an IPad before there were IPads! The list can go on and on. Now, no one can live without these things!
What are you seeing for your business or life that no one sees? What are you seeing for your family that no one sees?
Sometimes you have to forget about thinking inside or outside the box.
Sometimes you just have to create your own box!!
“The best way to predict the future is to create it”…Peter Drucker
I am not telling you something I read. I am telling you there were things, in business I saw, no one else seen or understood, I implemented them, and over the course of time, different business owners across the country are using them. I am not bragging. I am just telling you that you have the same capabilities.
Having a vision is not for businesses alone. Most small businesses are owned by individuals. So, whether you are a small business owner or an individual in charge of yourself or a family, you need a vision.
You need a picture of where you are and where you are heading.
You also need to know how you are going to get to where you want to go!
Simple example: if you are in Chicago and you want to go to New York, you will never get there if you take Interstate 80 west. Even worse, if you don’t know you are in Chicago, and you don’t know where you want to go, any road will do. You will have no idea where you will end up!!
That’s how many folks run their life and business. Don’t be one of them!!!
Get a note book, title it Lifting My Vision, keep it for our sessions, and begin to write some stuff down………
So, let’s start off by examining your vision. Do you have a vision?
Why is it you went into business or why is it you are choosing to go in to business?
Why is it you chose the type of business you are in or wanting to go in?
If The Lord tarries, what do you want your life and this business to look like in 1, 2 or 3 years?
If you are in business, are you excited, stagnant or feel like giving up?
If you are not in business, are you excited to start or afraid to start?
Whatever the answer is…why?
Whether you are a business owner or not, this will help to begin to clarify what part of your vision may look like.
I want you to write down 5 things that are positive, going good, right now in your life or business. Then I want you to write down 5 things, or areas, in your life or business that could be improved.
If you have more or less than 5 in either area, write them down.
So you know your are not swimming in the ocean by yourself,………
let’s share with others or talk about anything that stood out to you as you wrote…………..
