Are you discovering that it's not about being stressed out? Lately, what seems to occur is the feeling of being overwhelmed and frustrated.
As a women business owner, are you discovering that it is not about being stressed out? Lately, what seems to occur is the feeling of being overwhelmed and down right frustrated.
If you don’t mind, I would like to share my recent journey as an example of overwhelm and frustration. Observe your own feelings and see if you can relate or are intrigued by his discussion.
A Heartfelt Journey
The last few months were more about feeling overwhelmed and frustrated. Maybe it’s the new decade I have entered into. Or maybe it’s reaching new insights about how I want to connect with others.
There is an energy shift happening that has had me experience financial lack in the way I have never experienced before. My marriage in the last few months has been tense to say the least. My husband is also going through a financial struggle.
I begin to wonder and ask, what is really at the core of all this overwhelm and frustration? It’s not about stress at all.
In a nutshell, and with love and acceptance, I have taken an observation role into my life as a whole. And as women business owners, in my opinion, it’s necessary to check in with where we are now and where we are heading with our relationships, connections, purpose and our own happiness and success.
A Women Business Owner’s Multiple Life
As women business owners, there are many facets to our lives that challenge us to keep up with it all . . .we could be Mother, spouse, home maintenance manager, volunteer, school assistant . . . now include business owner.
So what’s going on? Again, if you don’t mind, an observation about my journey . . .
As I get into self-coach mode, I begin to notice that relationships and connections are key. As an administrative assistant for 15-something years, I saw myself as building connections with people. Yet, these connections were still not quite in reach. They seemed distant and, well, not closely connected. So I turned to starting up my own embroidery commercial business. With being owner, operator and sales associate, I still felt isolated.
The last several years had me engaged with Shamanic teachings, which had me looking inward and releasing stagnant energy that wasn’t serving me well, and ditching what society thinks I should be, live and feel.
Then I came across life coaching methods and processes, and I could finally see how being connected and developing relationships with others filled the gap in how I wanted to serve others.
Isn’t this typically what we are all here to offer, serving one another?
It doesn’t matter in what form you serve. What matters is how it resonates with you.
How does your business fill that relationship/connection gap?
A Journey Within
Through my journey in the last few months, it is this day that I have come to realize a revelation that I wish to share with you. I basically took myself through a coaching session:
As I have been observing myself I asked these questions, and I encourage you to take some time and journey through these yourself:
What is it that I (You) really want?
Answer: To simply live a consistent, stable, happy life and to see my husband reach his own goals as well. To be coaching women business owners and supporting their own dreams and purpose.
What does this consistent, stable, happy life look like?
Answer: A progressing life coaching practice. Coaching women business owners who strive for success and balance. Rising in the morning, in my own home, feeling secure and content and on purpose. Observing as my husband cruises through his day engaged in his purpose as well.
Why is this important to be coaching, feeling secure, content and on purpose?
Answer: Wow! It’s important to me (you) because this is the connection with others I have been searching for. My journey throughout my whole life as Mother, employee, business owner, and now life coach has brought me here, now. And now is where I am to be – at this moment. I look honestly in the mirror and see someone who has been humbled, who has let ego take a hike, and can open to see how I am going to re-define my life. This is a new beginning for me – a new way to interact that feels natural and on purpose.
Take yourself to the end of this session, how would you know that you got it?
Answer: I would feel content, stable and balanced. There is a part of me now, as I type, showing up as confidence, acceptance and a knowing that I am on purpose. To allow the processes I have to do now take place and trust that this new journey will set me on the path I so desire.
Where are YOU now?
If you happened to answer these few questions, you may feel a bit jolted, amazed, surprised, and even perhaps a little less weighted down.
These are powerful questions, and the very same questions we would explore together in a coaching session.
Yes, perhaps you could take this journey on your own. And I encourage you to begin.
You are a women business owner who values a good support system. Here are two observation questions you are invited to explore on your own, or together with me in a consultation:
1. If you were to seek the support of a life coach, how would this support take you further on your quest to happiness, staying on purpose, feeding your passion, and becoming even more successful with your business?
2. How would embracing the support of a life coach diminish your feelings of overwhelm and frustration?
This is your invitation to set up a consultation with me to discuss the support of a life coach further. In fact, you will be taken through a real life coaching session.
Thank you for allowing me to share my own recent journey. I believe many of us are entering into new phases of how to re-define our lives. Women business owners are growing and becoming more and more successful. Observing how we are clicking along in our journey as business owners is vital to keeping on track and on purpose.
As women, we know that a support system is key to living a successful, content, simple and balanced life that ultimately will energize others we engage with continuously.
I leave you with a simple quote from a women who has intrigued me early in my life:
“If you can dream it, you can do it”
