Sailing Into The Unknown

During life's journey, we face one overriding question. How do you answer it?
All of us are always sailing into the unknown. We can plot and plan. We can dream and imagine. We can pretend to have more control than we actually do. The truth is that we only know the truth of this moment. We are sailing into the unknown. Anything can happen. Anything will happen. You will experience sadness and fear and laughter and great joy. There are times when you will have a strong grip on the ship’s wheel and other times when you feel tossed from stem to stern. Through it all, there is one thing you can become sure of – you.
The only things we can control are our own actions and reactions. Life presents us with many choices but only one overriding decision. Will we face life head on & grow from its lessons or will we let fear stop us & throw us off our intended route? It will sometimes feel easier to give up, abandon ship, say we don’t need anyone and just get tossed around, but a ship that is not steered never reaches its destination. In the face of great obstacles, you can still dream. The path to get there is within you. It merely needs to be brought out, have the emotions separated from the facts and outlined step-by-step. When a wave of unexpected events gets in the way, the plan merely needs adjustment. When the route seems lost in a fog, we merely need a guide, a helper, a coach.
