Books that WILL Change Your World

Powerful books I loved to revolutionize your relationships, your business and your life.
I’ve been obsessed with personal development for as long as I can remember. I haven’t always been great at it, but then, at ten, I really didn’t know where to get ideas from other than my dad. These books are my top favorites for changing the way you view yourself and people in your universe. I found them to be immensely helpful and they have dramatically improved my relationships and my life in general. There are also some great books in here for business.
1. Love as a Way of Life by Gary Chapman
I don’t know about you, but my parents did a lot of fighting when I was little and I never really had a good model of love in a relationship. This book was fantastic. It’s all about how to love the people around you, even if you didn’t grow up that way, or aren’t sure how.
2. The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman
Remember feeling like your mom didn’t love you because she was always cleaning the house and didn’t spend any time with you? Chances are, she was showing love in her own unique way. Everyone says “people are different,” but this book really goes to show you that it’s true, even something as basic as the way we feel love.
3. The Five Apology Languages by Gary Chapman
Just as how we feel love is often different from other people, an apology needs to given in a certain way to make us feel like it’s genuine. That doesn’t mean that it isn’t otherwise, but we certainly don’t feel like it is.
4. Anger: Handling a Powerful Emotion in a Healthy Way by Gary Chapman
I have never really thought of myself as an angry person. Would anyone like admitting that about themselves? But this book showed me that the things I’ve been holding onto are standing in the way of my relationships with people like bricks. Let’s bring the walls down.
5. The Myths of Happiness by Sonja Lyubomirsky
Life never goes quite the way we want it to. That perfect someone turns out to be a lot less perfect that we though. We’re not as happy about the new house, job or the new baby as we thought we’d be. Somehow, all the things that were supposed to make you happy, didn’t. Guess what? There’s something you can do about it! Unlock the keys to life and relationship happiness with this great book.
6. How to Win Friends & Influence People by Dale Carnegie
This book is full of great information about people’s needs and how you can use those to improve your personal and business relationships. This was eye-opening for me. Make people feel important. Remember the things that matter to people. Stand out.
7. Book Yourself Solid by Michael Port
If you’re in the service industry, this is a must-read. Build your business, increase your revenue streams and leave your clients happy campers. If you’re not building endless value for your clients, you’re doing something wrong.
8. Give & Take by Chester L. Karras
I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase “everything’s negotiable.” Well, it turns out that’s actually true. What costs can you reduce in your life? How can you gain an edge in business transactions? What can you get for free?
9. Money: A Love Story by Kate Northrup
This book was really awesome. She will transform the way that you view yourself and your money. And she’ll give you some solid ideas on how to get what you want in life, including financial and time freedom.
10. Rich Dad, Poor Dad
While I didn’t agree with everything in this book, it really DID change my world and how I view wealth and money. The secret to wealth and financial freedom? Passive income. It doesn’t get better than that. But how do you get that? Well, there are numerous strategies, many of which don’t cost you anything but your time.
Keep checking back. I’ll update this periodically with new books. I hope you enjoy them and get as much out of them as I did.
