You see there's really no secrets in business. What you put into your business is exactly what will determine whether or not you're successful.
My friend Amethyst Mahoney posted a great snippet in her Facebook group today about making your business a priority. Which got me thinking about the subject of today’s personal note. You see there’s really no secrets in business. What you put into your business is exactly what will determine whether or not you’re successful, whether or not you create wealth, and whether or not you make the difference in the world that you really desire to make.
Of course, ego immediately kicks in and says, “Great! I put great energy into my business, so I’ll definitely make it.” But I’d encourage you to go to a deeper, wiser place within you
One great way to evaluate what kind of energy you’re putting into your business is to look at the Top Three Investments you make in your business. Where you choose to put your financial resources in your business is a predictor of whether or not you will be successful. It also tends to be an indicator of where you’re putting your time, passion and focus. Otherwise known as the other essential elements to determining success.
Not putting any financial resources into your business? What does that say about your willingness to take yourself seriously? What does it say about your level of faith in your mission?
If you’ve been getting this Newsletter, you know my theme for 2014 is authentic business building and pulling back the curtain. In that spirit, I’m going to share with you the Top 3 Investments in my business this year.
1. My team
2. My education (coaching, online programs, self-study courses, etc.)
3. The client experience (everything I need to make sure my current clients are incredibly well taken care of).
Does this list surprise you? Did you think marketing and self-promotion would be number one? It’s not, it’s actually fourth on the list. Why? Because I am crystal clear that investing in my team, myself, and my clients is essential to bringing in more clients, living my personal mission, and creating a business that others are drawn to.
What are your top three investments? And what does it say about your likelihood to succeed?
