My answer to the “Big Questions”
Posted on April 14, 2014 by Mahal Hudson, One of Thousands of Leadership Coaches on Noomii.
Blog hop is about opportunity to connect, expanding network and possible revenue generating platform particularly to entrepreneurs like myself.
I was not sure what is blog hopping until Patricia Weber, whom I got connected via Linkedin, showed me the opportunity to do so . It took me awhile to understand the process. However, I found myself more intrigued on how to get others interested to hop on with me. So, I continue to wonder and wander. It was easy to say that blog hop is about opportunity to connect, expanding network and possible revenue generating platform particularly to entrepreneurs like myself.
I also realized that since reasons are purely subjective then I may as well have fun with it.So, dear readers, may I present to you the reality of blog hopping, my essence of doing so and my gratitude to Amanda and Lynita who said yes to go along with me.
First, may I present to you the catalyst for me, Patricia Weber: Patricia Weber supports and inspires introverts and baby boomers who want more energy and vitality to live life at full throttle. She is an internationally recognized expert on radio and in print as a Business Coach for Introverts. Coachville graduate, a Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) Certification and two-time award winner of Peninsula Women’s Networker of the Year (only the second member in its 30 years to receive this award twice).
Featured in numerous publications such as Entrepreneur, Training, etc. she knows what it takes to be successful and happy being authentic to a baby boomer introvert style. She is having a blast bringing her many passions into living.
If you are fed up with the often uncomfortable extrovert rules, if you are tired of being tired, be ready to be inspired, follow her blog. Her current book, Communication Toolkit for Introverts: Essential Skills for Everyday Business Success is in it’s final editing with Impackt Publishing.
My gratitude to Patricia: I sense that you are generous, fun-loving and passionate. I am grateful for offering your assistance through my challenges in blog hopping. You were patient. Your achievements are truly inspirational.
In my journey of having fun with blog hopping, I wanted to be daring instead with what I’m going to share with you: the reality of blog hopping, my essence of doing so and my gratitude to the connections I made.
The reality:
I was supposed to blog hop about my writing process by answering the following questions:
1) What am I working on?
2) How does my work differ from others of its genre?
3) Why do I write what I do?
4) How does your writing process work?
I dare not to answer them. I dare to take a different leap to answer on what is important to me at this time. After all, blog hopping for me is to have fun.
The other reality I faced was getting people on board. I suddenly felt my Saboteurs enveloped me: “You are not good enough! No one likes you! You are unknown that’s why they don’t want to blog hop with you! Who are you anyways?” These are my limiting beliefs particularly writing about my “writing process.” Gosh! I don’t even know how to process my thoughts at most times.
How did I confronted my Saboteurs?
◾Staying authentic.
◾I let my Saboteurs to be my best friend.
◾I reminded myself of the best learning thought I’ve learned thus far with my co-active coaching: “Nobody gets to be wrong.”
The essence of doing so:
To inspire and be inspired. So, I decided to “explore the big questions” as I was inspired from my last blog post and to inspire others to do the same. Here we go:
1. The world needs….
compassion, dignity, honesty and ownership to create a better humanity.
2. I believe…
that everyone has a choice, no one can force you to agree or disagree; that a leader is a servant first; that we’re bigger that we ever dream of; and we are made for something special and we will do something special.
3. Coaching is…
my practice, a transformational journey to be daring and reaching the possibilities.
4. I find joy in…..
my conversations with family especially the smile from my sister, Marilag. Her innocence gives me the glimpse of heaven.
5. What is the purpose of human experience?
To empower one soul at a time so we can create harmony in our lives, in our relationships and community.
6. What do you know for sure?
We should never ever settle for what others have told us on what we should be. We should always create opportunities when they don’t present itself.
And right now, I’m creating this world through coaching at The Avant-garde Company because I believe that in each encounter we make, magic could happen. In every encounters you make, something special will spark a path for you to be where you wanted to be.
In order to keep the inspiration of blog hop going, I’ve tagged two of my awesome connections:
1. Amanda Rivera is the CEO & Founder behind Inspire Me Communications and Inspiremecafe.com. She’s been published in the Summer 2013 issue of the Law of Attraction magazine. Has a Masters in Communications- Corporate PR from Sacred Heart University, and helps small businesses and start-ups with creating an authentic and powerful digital presence.
2. Lynita Mitchell-Blackwell, an Attorney & CPA, is the Chief Leadership Officer of The Leading Through Living Community, a personal and professional development organization that encourages, equips, and champions people to be successful members of and leaders for their communities, in their professions, and personally. LTLC accomplishes this through individual coaching, workshops, and on-going support and opportunity identification. Lynita is also author of Leading Through Living: A Guide for Women Seeking Growth Through Leadership, a “mentor in your pocket” for women seeking practical advice to personal and professional advancement; and Editor-in-Chief of BOLD Magazine.
My gratitude:
To Amanda: You are kind, free-spirit and authentic. You draw in authenticity and I admire you for that.
To Lynita: You see opportunities and you dare to take chances. I appreciate your appreciation to life.
To “blog hop”: You brought me to inspirational women featured in this blog. Such an achievement and I found hope.
I encourage to send me an email about your thoughts and what are your answer to the big questions.
