5 Things You Can Do Today To Get Results Tomorrow
Don’t let your pre-conceived ideas or paradigms hold you back in this exercise. To be most effective, you need to be 100% completely honest with yourself in answering these questions. You may surprise yourself. If you had all of the money in the world and all of the happiness you could handle, how would you address the following?
1. What is your biggest challenge right now?
1. Is it personal or business?
2. How does it affect you right now?
3. How long have you felt this way?
4. What would you life look like, sound like and feel like once this challenge was overcome?
5. How did you get in this situation?
2. Get clear on what you want.
1. What are your passions?
2. What do you like to do?
3. What makes you feel alive when you do it?
4. What do you like to talk about?
5. What are your strengths?
3. Set the highest goal you can think of on that subject.
1. Why do want to achieve this goal?
2. Do you believe you can obtain this goal?
3. Has anyone ever achieved this goal before?
4. What has stopped you from achieving this goal in the past?
5. What does your life or business look like, sound like and feel like after achieving that goal?
4. Strategize how to overcome obstacles standing in your way of your goals.
1. What is the worst obstacle you could encounter?
2. How would you overcome that obstacle or who could tell you how?
3. Who has overcome similar obstacles?
4. How do successful people who have accomplished the same goal you have look, appear to feel like and sound like?
5. Who is assisting you right now in achieving your goal?
5. Take action
1. Go back and review all or your answers to the previous questions.
2. Make a to do list of small first steps you can take to begin accomplishing your goal.
3. Take a blank sheet of paper and draw a line across it vertically dividing the paper in half. On the left hand side of the paper write today’s date. On the right hand side of the paper write the Goal with the date you want to achieve the goal by.
4. Everyday look at the paper and mark on the line where you think you are in relation to achieving the goal. As you begin marking the line, you’ll astonish yourself how close you get to achieving the goal.
5. Enlist assistance. No one has ever accomplished a goal, especially a big goal, without help. A coach, mentor or trainer is a must have. Michael Jordan had Phil Jackson, Tiger Woods had Hank Haney and the list goes on. Interview coaches and choose the one that’s right for you – great connection, communication and knowledge are key.
