Engineering more efficiently with professional coaching

Coaching, organizing & preventive maintenance do a lot to improve the performance of engineers.
“Possibly the single most important part of keeping any piece of equipment running is preventative maintenance. You are the most important piece of equipment you have. What can you do to keep your motor running?
•Whenever possible create a standard work schedule. Set boundaries around your work day. Do not allow weekends and evenings to be used as make up time. If we manage ourselves efficiently during the day, we can eliminate the need for weekend and evening work.
•Practice extreme self care. Get regular exercise and plenty of sleep. Maintain a healthy diet. Relax away from the job on holidays and vacations. Schedule regular massages. Spend more time doing what you love. A professional coach can help to make these goals reality in an engineer’s life.
•Develop bigger personal and professional ambitions that align with your values. What do you really want to do with your life?
•Create enough space in your life to seize opportunities
Self-maintenance is not always a top priority. The distractions of work and daily life keep us from focusing on our own upkeep. Working with a professional coach can provide the structure to make regular maintenance a habit. Seminars, books and articles provide insight for approaches, but action and implementation rarely occur without the on-going support that a coach provides.” Source: Sandy Baker, Engineering more efficiently with professional coaching, World Pumps, Volume 2004, Issue 458, November 2004, Pages 40-42, ISSN 0262-1762,
