Q & A Interview with Susie Briscoe
We’d like you to tell us about yourself…
1. Your Name, what you do & elevator speech
Hello! I’m Susie Briscoe of Acer Coaching Associates.com; and work with business professionals around the world to get clarity on their life purpose, to include a legacy mind set, and start thinking outside their usual parameters.
Do take a look at my website www.acercoachingassociates.com as well as my biz page to ensure we connect: https://www.facebook.com/SusieBriscoeFounderAcerCoachingAssociates
2. My background & credentials. I’m a former Advertising & PR Executive, having worked in a London agency with experience across a broad spectrum of industries. I trained as an accredited Coach & Mentor with the UK College of Life Coaching, and subsequently as a Supervisor with Coaching & Mentoring International. I have also had 40+ years working with the voluntary sector at differing levels, from standing on street corners and at railways stations with a collecting tin, to organising gala events hosting Royalty and A List celebrities from around the world.
3. What makes me passionate about what I do? I know that already I have touched literally millions of lives around the world for the better through my work with medical research, homelessness, education and animal welfare, and that my work here is not yet finished. My realization that by working in my passion and sharing my knowledge will ultimately mean that far more people, animals and situations will be changed for the better.
4. What I want to do for my clients? For them to feel the sense of contentment and know that even by helping just one individual it makes a difference in the world, and that this has an exponential effect over a period of time.
5. What do I want them to walk away with? A genuine sense of fulfillment in the knowledge that they are living their own passion, making a difference simply by stepping into their own magnificence and embracing what was inside them all the time … and the discovery that their time is now.
6. How do you serve them? Humbly, sharing knowledge, understanding, insight, and delivering the ultimate satisfaction of them finding their true selves.
7. What things, techniques or expertise do I specialize or work with? Values and Belief Elicitations; Money Breakthrough Method accredited coach; Teleseminar & Webinar Trained; Marketing & Branding Expert; Social Media Training.
Drilling down to get the clients to identify their own interests, skills and talents and then turning this on its head to see whether any of these could be used differently to bring them more fulfillment in their working or family life. In a sense I get underneath their psyche and really get them to firstly recognize and then understand their own needs which leads them to a greater understanding of what they are capable of achieving.
8. What makes me special unique or different? I don’t really think there is anything – it’s very hard to answer that: I aim to be solid for my clients and to give them my all – this isn’t the first time I’ve been asked this and in fact I looked up these words to try to help me: “These are the words that come up when I check for synonyms for success Winner… – and yet there is still more that is intangible: peace of mind, a healthy body, being a decent human being, being able to help others. Magnificence & Munificence are words that also come to mind. I strive to walk my talk, and lead effectively from the front – build a legacy of which I can be proud.
9. What is the thing about you/or your experience or knowledge that makes you perfect for each other?
To become a Master of any discipline it Is recognized that you have to have 10,000 hours hands on experience; I have clocked up approximately 288,000 hours under my own belt during the last 40+ years (28 x the accepted Mastery level). This is made up of various life experiences and personal knowledge within the personal development and charity world, at every level from:
i. rattling a collection tin on a street corner
ii. holding coffee mornings, sherry get together’s, wine and cheese gatherings – all low key and simple
iii. Organizing fashion shows locally and in London with the top British designers from the current generation
iv. Organizing events in Central London iconic and historic venues for up to 5,000 people including hosting Royalty, Prime Minister’s and other parliamentary figures from both Houses of Parliament, members of the aristocracy and meritocracy, Diplomats from around the world as well as global A list celebrities and entrepreneurs.
v. Family comes first and it’s important to me to be able to be there to support in whatever way they require or need… time is a luxury and to give your time is priceless… so success would definitely be to have the gift of spending time well.
vi. At a personal level: To see my company grow from being a solopreneur to a level that feels right. Historically that would have meant being a multi-millionaire, with all the support mechanisms safely in place to efficiently maintain quality and professional service to our clients, but I feel a little wiser even in the last 3 or 4 years and know the importance of letting go and letting God.
vii. Home life is the most important: to secure the future wellbeing of my family is true success for me.
viii. It’s important to me to build the various strands of my business like the Acer tree – you may know it better as a Maple tree – after which it’s named: secure roots with a strong trunk meaning a good foundation and the strength of honesty and integrity running through the very heart of the organization; the branches spreading out in the different directions but all stemming from the central theme that sustains the business – value and quality combined with professionalism – and finally the beauty of the leafy canopy which provides shelter for those in need and beauty to those who look on.
ix. In the greater scheme of things: To grow my charity so that it becomes a force for good in the world on a large scale and to truly touch the lives of millions of people around the world. “Accomplishment; Achievement; Hit; Sensation; Triumph; Victory; Winner…” These are the words that come up when I check for synonyms for success – and yet there is still more that is intangible: peace of mind, a healthy body, being a decent human, being able to help others. Magnificence & Munificence are words that also come to mind.
x. To lead effectively from the front and build a legacy of which I can be proud.
10. Continuing the theme, what makes me different from my colleagues in my profession? My ideal is to build opportunities for the young across all areas of need in the world whether they are in the traditionally recognized 3rd world countries or as is becoming increasing the case in allegedly wealthy countries such as the UK and the USA, using my business platform as a generator of funds. Lofty I know but not impossible.
11. How do I have fun in my profession and in my day to day activities?
I always work with fun in mind. This isn’t to say that I don’t take my business seriously – far from it. I always am professional, but in a very warm and open way. This is what builds the safe relationship and allows the client to trust in the process, and allow me to take them on the most amazing journeys of exploration. Together we explore and discover what would serve them best in terms of their values; how helping others will in fact help themselves. To always be looking for the opportunity to give to whatever their chosen interest or charity is.
12. What specific things – programmes, training’s, offerings, products or sessions do you have available at the moment?
I work 1:1, with various packages from silver, gold, platinum and diamond
Create VIP opportunities for clients to invest at a higher and more intense level,
as well as in group situations, and have self study programmes for clients to work through at their own pace.
13. What makes your clients come back time and again? I like to believe it’s because I give value, treat them with respect (just as I would wish to be treated in fact), and ensure that no matter how difficult the topics that we always have a fun experience working together and deliver results beyond their expectations; over delivery if you will. Several of my clients have been with me since 2008, and even those who are not actively working with me maintain a good relationship and regular contact.
