Equilibrium-Sense of
A state of rest or balance due to the equal action of opposing forces; equanimity. Striving to achieve a sense of equilibrium can help align your expression of energy. If you are naturally using your energy in alignment with your values;you will feel the currents of your life flow more easily.
Self-Talk
The manner in which you talk to yourself(consciously and semi-conscious levels) can determine how your thoughts affect your daily reality. When confronted with an obstacle or challenging situation; positive self-talk can increase your confidence and ability to make solid, healthy decisions. You can affirm a set of words or phrases that are special to you on a daily or weekly basis. “I am calm and capable” or “I am healthy and think healthy” are examples.
Surround yourself with cheerful people
It is good practice to surround yourself with positive, healthy people. The company you keep affects you in many ways. Social interactions with happy persons are contagious, and can improve your mental and emotional processes. Even though some are naturally blissful, anyone can learn to experience a stronger sense of happiness with practice. Ensure your support system is chock full of energizing and sympathetic folks.
Attachments
We all have an innate need to connect with others. Even if you consider yourself shy or a “loner”, you have emotional needs that can be fulfilled via relations with happy and balanced people. Nurture your attachments as you would your garden, house, foods, etc…Having relationships with animals is a wonderful way to gain peace in your life.
Habits
What habits do you have daily, monthly, yearly? Are they helping you to thrive, or hindering your progress? Maintaining healthy habits is a challenge, but will pay off in the long run. So often in this country, people seek immediate gratification;specifically with consumption of unhealthy and low-nutrient foods and substances. Diets fail for the most part;gym memberships wax and wane; for many of us, consistency is an uphill struggle. It doesn’t have to be. Start small and adopt a new, positive habit for a week or even a Month. Commit to it and observe the physical, mental and emotional changes within you.
At the same time, work on reducing/eliminating bad or unhealthy habits over the course of a Month or Year. Know when it is time to contact a professional to help move you along: therapist, nutritionist, doctor, Life Coach, etc…
Life/Work Balance is different for everyone. A skillful coach will determine a unique approach for each client;depending on their age, lifestyle and goals.
