Yes You Can!
I have heard some of my Be Unstoppable You clients complain that they would take their business to the next level or start their business, or make their business successful if only the economy was better, if only their husband or wife were not so demanding, if only they had chosen another business, etc. You get the picture. But while those excuses seem to be true they really aren’t. The only one that can stop you is you because of your thoughts and the beliefs underlying them.
I used to get really angry when people would say that to me. And I would launch into another explanation of why my excuses were valid. But now I know that we really do create our own reality. Those are not just words. While the economy seems to be a popular place to put blame I know this isn’t true and I have the proof. A friend told me about her grandmother who started a business during the Great Depression selling human hair wigs! Her rationale was that women wanted to look beautiful no matter what else was going on. She started out in her own home and she paid women to donate their newly cut hair so she could make it into a wig for a woman who needed it.
There are several remarkable things about this. First of all, my friend’s grandmother had not been a business woman before the depression but she made her business so successful that three generations later her family was living on the money that she had generated from her depression era business. And since I knew one of the grand children and got to see her lifestyle from that income I knew it was a true story. How’s that for proof!
Why Are You Here?
02/04/2014
Do you feel you are putting in your time but not sure why? Everyone here is here on earth with a purpose. Even if you are not aware of yours you have one. What does having a purpose mean? It means that your presence here at this time, in this place is not random. That there is something you are fulfilling by just being here. If you doubt that just think of the people who have come across your path and the results, things you have learned, experiences you have had. Think of the times when you were lost didn’t now what to do and suddenly the answer came to you. When you follow your passion you are following your purpose for being here. Feeling passionate about something is the clue that it is what you are meant to do. When we feel most alive we are on target, on purpose, on our path, our purpose. Often our purpose is developing over time and our focus and passion changes. But seen over time it will be very clear where you were headed.
If you really look at the past events of your life you will begin to see a thread that connects them, a theme, a story. Pay attention to what goes on in your life on a daily bases. Begin to see the connections between people and events. You will begin to see life from a different perspective. You will begin to see purpose in every day occurrences. Life will take on a whole new meaning. You will be living on purpose. You will begin to fulfill your purpose even if you can’t name it. It will unfold in front of you just by your awareness.
You are here for a reason. You do have a purpose to fulfill and you are fulfilling it.
Resolutions or an Exciting New Venture
01/07/2014
We often feel compelled to create New Year’s resolutions because that’s what people do for a new year. Most resolutions fall by the wayside a couple of weeks out if they even last that long. Why? Because they are based on things we"should" do, and often don’t have anything to do with the things we really care about.
My proposal is, instead of New Year’s resolutions why not see ways in which you would like to change your life so you have more fun, are more energized, feel that fire again in yourself. The only way you can do that is to take some quiet time, sit by the water, find a private comfortable corner in your house, look at your garden, etc. and allow yourself the luxury of tuning into yourself. Ask the questions: What makes me happy? What could I do that would get me back in touch with myself? What have I longed to do but didn’t dare? What would I do if I knew I couldn’t fail? The answers may surprise you.
Once you get your answers find some very simple, easy things you can do each day that will bring you what you want. Never try to do something all at once. Better to take smaller steps and be consistent. That way you can enjoy your progress and see that what you are doing is bringing you happiness.
Why A Mastermind Group
12/08/2013
All graduates from 5 Week Be Unstoppable You In Your Business and 8 Week Be Unstoppable You In Your Life and Your Business for Women are eligible to join Be Unstoppable Mastermind Group. The reason behind this is that while a training or seminar can be life changing often when someone returns to their regular routine and life they can slip back into old habits of thinking and action. A Mastermind Group holds you accountable for your commitments and goals. It’s also a place to ask for and receive support and insights from someone with a different point of view or with different experiences. Its a way of building community as well. Human beings do not like being alone. Even if they like alone time that is a whole different thing.
If you would like more support in your life, a place to be held accountable, a community of peers think about joining a Mastermind Group. I think you will love it. If there isn’t one near you or you can start one. You will be amazed at what a difference it will make.
Tell Your Story
12/06/2013
I started my businesses back when you had a persona that you showed to your clients and the world. It might or might not be the real you but it was polished and professional. Times have changed. Because the public has been sold so many things by so many people they want to see the real person presenting the product or service. Do you tell what’s bothering you that day? Absolutely not! Do you tell clients/customers why you are in the business you are in, what motivated you – Absolutely! They want to know who is behind what they are looking to buy. What kind of person you are. Whether you will be there for them after the initial sale. Whether what you are offering them really fits their needs. If they feel that they know you a little they can decide whether they trust you and trust what you are offering them. So let them see behind the professionalism a bit. Let them have a look at the real you. You will create a friendship which means a sale, maybe not right now but certainly in the near future.
