Focus less on what you do and more on WHO you want to be and HOW you do what you do. Show up as your best self and your life's purpose will emerge.
“If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep the streets as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry.” – Martin Luther King, Jr.
At this point in your journey, the idea of how to find your life’s purpose is probably pretty overwhelming. You believe you only have one shot at this and you want to make it meaningful. But how do you know if you are making the right choices? When you approach a fork in the road, how do you know which path is the one you’re supposed to take?
In order to find your life’s purpose and sing your true song, listen to Martin Luther King Jr., and focus less on what you do and more on who you want to be and how you do what you do. Express your true self and share your unique gift with everyone – whether you’re working in sales or painting a masterpiece. Bring the gift of YOU to the world, and your life’s purpose will emerge.
We are all a part of life’s miraculous puzzle, and you hold a very special piece that is unlike any other. Even if you can’t see the specifics yet, know that you have a unique and beautiful purpose on this earth – a purpose that can only be fulfilled by you. Be wholly YOU in everything you do and to everyone you meet and the shape of your puzzle piece will begin to take form. Once it does, you can be sure it will lead you to exactly where you need to be.
