Hi,
Welcome to Planting Positivity.
This is my first positivity column that is running in the Oman Observer, weekend magazine. So I have decided to share them here too. I run Planting Positivity courses that usually last 7 weeks and are broken down into sections. We have Planting Positivity, Watering Positivity, Growing Positivity, Sustaining Positivity, Weeding Positivity, Pruning Positivity and Blooming Positivity. I will let you know which section of the course each column comes from. Today’s column is from Planting Positivity.
Is it any wonder I’ve chosen a gardening theme with a name like Eden?
The reason I’m doing this column is because all of the techniques I’ll be sharing with you have helped give me the life of my dreams so I feel they’re worth sharing. I simply want to help as many of you as possible to connect to your power. I want to show you that you have everything you need to have a purposeful and passionate life within you.
By listening to our inner guide and doing more of what we love, we make positive connections with our subconscious which gives us clear guidance for our next steps.
I am so happy to share this information with you and I cannot wait to see how it affects your lives too.
Ok so, what is positivity?
Positivity is a state of mind. It can be an emotion; joy, hope, gratitude, interest, serenity, pride, amusement, bliss, love, inspiration and awe being the most common ones.
Living a positive life is not necessarily one that is devoid of any negativity, where nothing bad ever happens again, or where there are no more bad people, situations, events or things. We cannot avoid negativity whether it be situations or people. What matters, though, is the ratio; the balance of positive over negative thoughts and feelings. These columns are designed to be collected and saved in order to give you some skills, strategies and tips on how to bring more positivity into your life.
Why does it matter?
It matters because it has a corresponding effect on our health, our physical wellbeing. There have been many experiments done recently and during the 1990′s, Dr. Masaru Emoto performed a series of experiments observing the physical effect of words, prayers, music and environment on the crystalline structure of water. How the water freezes and forms the snowflake-like structures. Emoto hired photographers to take pictures of water after being exposed to different variables. He had water in one room where everything was positive, calming, loving and harmonizing while the water in the other room was subjected to negativity and discordant music; loud, untuned, heavy metal…dare I say Dubstep here? The water was then, subsequently frozen, so that they would form crystalline structures. The results were nothing short of remarkable.
The water that was subjected to nothing but negativity could not form proper crystals when frozen; they were, broken, disjointed and malformed but the frozen crystals from the water subjected to positive words were beautiful and complete. The positive energy influenced the molecular structure, as did the negative energy.
The water exposed to positive words is far more symmetrical and aesthetically-pleasing, balanced and beautiful than that subjected to dark, negative phrases.
You probably already know that positive and negative thinking can massively impact on the surrounding environment. That concept is relatively easy to grasp, but this extremely tangible/ factual evidence of it is astounding. If the words and thoughts that come out of us have this effect on water crystals, it’s astonishing to think of what kind of effect they have on the people and events that come into our lives.
Oh, and by the way, the average human body is 60% water. If we are negative to fellow humans and ourselves, think about what is happening in our cells. Can they form wholly, completely? Can you imagine the damage happening on a cellular level, to the water in our cells and to our bodies, if the flow of water coursing through the cells and blood stream is negative?
If we were told at an early age that negative words could seriously shorten our life, that they could make us ill, we might be more careful about what we say and to whom, don’t you think?
So, I want you to start thinking about what you are saying and to whom. Ask yourself “is it negative? Could it potentially be damaging to me?”
See you next week.
Love and light,
Jenni
