5 great reasons why summer is the perfect time to start your weight loss program.
Most of us use a few annual milestone to start on a weight loss journey. The “when the kids go back to school” and hey “it’s a New Years resolution” times come to mind. There are also the “winter vacation coming up” and ”OMG, I have to go to a wedding” times and themes for kick-starting new goals and weight loss programs.
During the lazy days of summer we relax with friends, family and generally slow down the pace. We take our summer vacations, enjoy and indulge. What if we took all that summer had to offer and started strong into our weight loss and health goals and didn’t wait for the perceived “perfect time”??
Summer has some great perks when it comes to weight loss:
1. Longer days to be active
2. Great weather to be outside and participate in activities that winter just don’t work for – golf, hiking, football in the park, tennis…
3. An abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables makes getting great nutrition easy
4. Vitamin Sunshine equals vitamin D equals weight loss
5. Fresh air and open windows help us sleep better at night
Why not get a kick start on your health and weight loss programs early?
You will have to find a different New Years resolution for 2014 after you blast through your summer and fall goals!!
