Make a Change

Remember you are the change you've been looking for, it starts with you.
Change is coming, change is coming, or so they say, with the end of the Mayan Calendar back in December 2012 we ushered in a new era, reflection on our past, examining where we are now, and looking forward, the recognition that we are ever expanding both our universe and our selves, as a race is evident. We are living longer, doing more, pursuing our dreams and striving for success. As for bearers of this new era there are a few things we can do as we glide into this era of change.
Take care of our health, mentally, physically, and emotionally. Three things we as women could do immediately and make positive changes to improve our lives are, centered on our Diets, the practice of daily Affirmations and the ability to set Boundaries. There are huge benefits in each one of these disciplines separately, however when combined together they will strengthen our resolve to reach our goals.
The forth and most challenging desire is to improve or reach and maintain our financial freedom, keeping up with the Jones’, has been the downfall of many, in other words if you don’t have the Jones’ income, then you will probably have a hard time keeping up. So, what to do…three things, know your priorities, your sphere of influence-the people, places and things that impact you, and change your budget or learn how to and do it.
With a healthy diet and fitness routine, the body is prepared, add to that affirmations combined with meditation/prayer, and setting boundaries to take time for ourselves, establishing our own “no fly zone,” gives us time to examine ourselves, review our thoughts, journal and enjoy family and friends.
Changing to these new habits will affect our lives in big way, as we have begun to establish good relationship with ourselves. Which will cause a ripple effect…we cast a stone in the pond of relationship with self, and it ripples to others, out in the universe and affects the change we desire, including finances, with the awareness that the ripple will return to us and lap at our own toes.
Starting today, look in the mirror, and affirm by saying, “My needs are met every day, in every way,” then offer gratitude. This is one of my personal affirmations one I rarely miss saying daily. It has worked for me and I am sure it will do the same for you. Remember you are the change you’ve been looking for, it starts with you.
