In A World of Tunnel Vision

In this world, how does your brand fit in when everyone has tunnel vision?
Where does your brand show up?
Imagine a world where you walk into a restaurant, walk around, and all you see is people gazing. It’s as if they have tunnel vision and nothing else matters. And what are these people glaring at? Mobile devices, that’s what. It doesn’t stop there, when you are at home, each person has tunnel vision there too. Computers, phones, and tablets – you name it. Screens demand the attention of the human race. In this world, how does your brand fit in when everyone has tunnel vision?
TV commercials? Not so much, Internet videos show a higher rate of results when it comes to displaying video ads vs. television advertisements.
So what works? Well, lets think about it…the only thing people can see is emails, Facebook messages, Instagram updates, and videos on YouTube.
Hmmm…what to do.
Here is an idea; why not show up in inboxes, Facebook feeds, Instagram photos, and videos on YouTube? Yes, that’s it! That is how you can get through to this crazy world of screen addition types.
Wait a second; aren’t you already doing these things? No results? Perhaps you need to rethink your strategy. Remember that others post on social media so you need to create content that catches the target customer’s attention. I’m talking about standing out, being interesting, and best of all, entertaining. That’s the way to show up.
Let’s say you just created a phenomenal product for a market thirsty for your solution. Make a video, a cool and entertaining one. Market this video on Facebook, on YouTube, and post snap shots of it on Instagram. Make sure that your Facebook page header fits the new mobile design. Engage with consumers online.
What about PR you ask? Is PR dead? No, it’s not dead, it just needs to be worked differently these days. Is your product being used by celebrities? That’s great, but how does anyone know about it? You need well known bloggers to write articles all about this PR you are getting and talk about your product. Then you may want to pay for ads to run on Facebook marketing the article written about your product. Also recommended is to share the link to the article via email, Twitter, and so forth. Don’t forget to share the photo of the product with the celebrity on Instagram and tag the celebrity in the post. Getting the idea?
