Do I have what it takes?

We all have the ability and power to choose new mindsets and actions that when consistently repeated over time will lead to new results in our life!
Often times when things are going “wrong” in our lives, when things are making us feel “bad”, we start to believe that things can never improve. We tend to think, “This will always be the way it is and there’s nothing I can do to change it.”
We often think that our circumstances are caused by other people, and therefore, nothing can change until they change. In thinking this way, we are giving our power away.
We begin to feel hopeless which leads to sadness and depression. It’s an easy trap to fall into and we’ve all gone there many times. Whether it’s a conflict or obstacle in our personal or professional life, it’s easy to have catastrophic thinking, and to ruminate on the worst possible outcome.
Thinking this way can hold us back from taking action to make changes. After all, if we don’t believe that anything we do will make a difference, why do anything? Why even bother?
We all have “what it takes” to have the life we desire. Circumstances may be the way they are, bad things may have happened, but we can choose how we will respond to our circumstances.
We all form habitual ways of thinking and responding to situations in our life and when we continue to use the same responses, we tend to get the same results.
We need to think outside the box, to discover different responses so we can have different results.
This is where a coach can help you. Sometimes it takes the eyes of an objective third party to see things with a different perspective.
We all want a silver bullet, the one magical solution that will solve all of our problems. While there is no silver bullet, we can make SMALL, SIMPLE changes that will add up gradually over time to make a BIG difference.
We need to believe that changes are possible and we do have what it takes to make those changes!
The definition of insanity is, “doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”
So, today, think outside the box and creatively choose and try out new ways of thinking, new behaviors and new responses to your situation.
A coach will help you clarify what you desire, and then assist you in making a plan on the actions, mindsets and responses that will take you there.
A coach will provide you with support, encouragement and accountability to stay on task to make it happen.
You do have “what it takes” within you to make the changes you desire!
