We’ve all heard the headlines that stress is bad for you and stress takes it toll on you body. Why do we have so much stress in our lives. This past week I tried to do way too much. Sometimes as woman we feel we have super human abilities. Quite often I feel I have 8 arms and can be in 4 places at once. Was life always this hectic? Were people this busy 200 hundred year ago? I doubt they were. They got up when it was light and went to bed when it was dark. Technology I personally feel is a gift and determent to society. Without technology no one would be reading my blog right now. Of course I know it’s all about having a balance in your life. It’s becoming too easy to stay connected on Facebook at all hours of the night. It’s also very easy to spend hours in bed with your smartphone or tablet or both. Before you know it you wonder where has the day gone? Where is the off switch with technology?
My internet wasn’t working last night for a couple hours. Since I don’t have cable I wasn’t sure what to do. I eventually found an old book and started to read. Those books on the shelf aren’t there just for decoration lol That clearly shows how reliant I am on technology! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, animals remind us to be connected with reality, our self and with life. I think I need a animal fix soon. Pets are also a excellent stress reliever:) I don’t own any furry pets, I just have fish. On my travels I seem to always find a cat or dog whom walks my way. It’s quite funny there’s this neighborhood squirrel who comes to visit to me. I’m not sure why. This squirrel has a habit of leaving empty nut shells near my front door. Don’t know what message this squirrel is trying to send me. It does make me realize to enjoy the simple things in life and use technology wisely.
