Growth requires a shift in perception, we often prefer to resist that approach. You can choose to do this either gracefully, or with a lot of effort.
We often feel surprised when things don’t turn out the way we expected them to. That is when it can be helpful to listen to our soul’s guidance, so we can more easily navigate challenges that we are confronted with. It’s important to develop faith and resilience that everything will work out in your favor.
Growth and change requires a shift in perception, yet we often prefer to resist that approach. You can choose to do this either gracefully, or with a lot of effort. Guess what? Resistance requires a lot more effort. Set your positive intentions and then remember to expect favorable outcomes.
Below are 4 tips for overcoming adversity.
1. Develop and stick to a daily spiritual practice. Mediation is useful for calming our monkey mind’s chatter and directing ourself within so we can hear the wisdom from our soul. It helps us remain balanced and centered throughout the day. What? You say you don’t have time to meditate? Do you have time for your coffee? Do you find time to send emails or text? Do you have time to take a shower? Meditation is a sure way to cleanse your mind so you can think more clearly throughout the day and attract more abundance into your life.
2. Are you feeling anxious about something? It can be helpful to identify where those feelings came from that caused you to be anxious or afraid. If they came from someone else, then they don’t belong to you! You get to release them safely like an oversized heavy suitcase that you don’t need to carry around anymore.
3. Ask for help. Adversity gives us the opportunity to ask for help from people who care about us. Challenges encourage us to grow and evolve, and become an even better version of ourselves.
4. It’s also important to exercise so you bring oxygen to your cells and keep your energy moving freely so it doesn’t get stuck in your body and create tension. Yes, exercise can be fun!
Adopting simple changes to your language can also make a profound difference. Below are some of my favorite reassuring statements that have been helpful to me.
- I am safe and free from harm.
- This too shall pass.
- Everything works out for the best even when I don’t know how that’s
going to happen. Expect a miracle!
- I wonder what I’m going to learn from this experience.
- I am open to all of the possibilities to create, explore and enjoy my life.
- I accept only happiness, health, and joy in my life.
- “I choose to live in easy world where everything is easy.” (Thank you to
