There's Nothing Worse Than Being Stuck!

Wrong perceptions and habits from our past can dictate our ability to solve problems and move forward.
Finding the solution to getting unstuck can be tough if you don’t have the right tools. This is because as we grow up we learn how to respond to problems based on those who have modeled problem solving to us. In most cases, that would be our parents, teachers, anyone who we spent a majority of our time with, our role models.
As adults we don’t realize many of the perceptions and habits from our past are still dictating our ability to solve problems today. Yet, this one skill is so vital to success in any area of life. To shed some light on the perspective that we must adopt in order to become better problem solvers, let us look at a famous quote from Gandhi. He writes: “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.”
This perspective helps us see that we always need to begin with becoming the one’s to find the solutions we want to see. It also eliminates blame-shifting, which is wasted energy on something that will never get you what you want. The moment we understand that our solutions are closer than we first realized, we will begin to activate the creative thinking necessary for problem solving.
