If a Little Girl Understood Her Worth...
Posted on April 03, 2013 by Jacqui Wilson, One of Thousands of Christian Coaches on Noomii.
What happens to a little girl who understands her worth versus one who does not?
If a little girl does not understand her worth…
1. She will depend on others’ definition of her beauty.
2. She will struggle with who she is or where she fits in.
3. She will take harmful actions to fit in, i.e. sex, drinking, drugs, stealing, overspending, etc.
4. She will question whether life is worth living or hurt herself to deal with pain, i.e. sex, cutting, overeating, etc.
5. She will become a bully.
6. She will strive to be loved and possibly become someone’s baby momma or contract an incurable disease.
7. She will get her problems “fixed” and pretend as if it did not occur until she needs the next fix.
If a little girl understands her worth…
1. She will embrace who God made her to be. Psalm 139:14
2. She will only allow God to set her course and her identity. Ephesians 2:10
3. She will love herself and surround herself with people who are headed in the same successful direction as she is. 1 John 3:1
4. She will strive to protect who God made her to be and avoid harmful actions that would strip her of the identity God has intended for her. Genesis 1:27
5. She will love and express love in a Godly manner. Philippians 2:3
6. She will deal with fears and anxieties head on. Joshua 1:9
7. She will become who God intended her to be. 1 Peter 2:9
8. She will change the world just by being her wonderful self. Jeremiah 29:11
God has defined your worth little girl.
1. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well. Psalm 139:14
2. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10
3. Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 1 John 3:1
4. So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:27
5. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Philippians 2:3
6. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
7. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9
8. For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
