A holistic approach to caring for yourself in the comfort of your own home.
Start each day with a brisk thirty minute walk, Pilates, or yoga exercises. End with stretches and a glass of room temperature water for hydration. If you really want to add a boost to your day, end it with another brisk thirty minute walk.
Take a hot bath or relax in a steamy whirlpool. Water seems to have special powers in getting rid of stress, relaxing tight muscles, and rejuvenating the body. You may notice your skin becoming more vibrant, soft, and supple. It is also known to have positive effects on the lungs, heart, stomach, and endocrine system by stimulating nerve reflexes on the spinal cord. Again, drink plenty water for hydration and balance.
Perform a serious kind act for someone, perhaps a complete stranger. Offer to assist an elderly person with their groceries, or pay someone’s grocery total at checkout, offer to walk your neighbor’s dog or maybe clean the snow off their car after a heavy snowfall. Doing something nice for someone is always a great mood booster. Try it, you just might like it. One single act of kindness can generate love action throughout the earth’s four corners. Thought is the cause of it all.
Read an inspiration book, self-help book, or perhaps a love novel. If you’re seeking more in-depth holistic or alternative methods to health and wellness I recommend reading, “Rise Above the Rest: A Woman’s Guide to Holistic Self-Empowerment,” sold on Amazon and downloadable onto your Kindle.
