How to achieve business "Automatization"?

HOW CAN WE ACHIEVE BUSINESS “AUTOMATIZATION”?
A business is like a ship. You as the owner are the captain of that ship. You are not the ship. “Automatization” is defined as creating an over-all complete self operating business unit that functions independent of the owner and makes the owner money but also allows the business owner to have a quality balanced life.
We understand that business owners wish to have results that are of significance to them and are measurable; so we do not just follow a checklist as many consulting firms may. We customize our strategy specifically to each client. Initially our strategy is to focus our approach to that which the business/client indicates to be the major issue at hand. It is in essence trouble-shooting the ship so that it does not sink and in fact starts to function appropriately. We are very result oriented in our activities, procedures and operations.
Once the business has stabilized however, we focus our attention on automation to create “Automatization” (a solid self functioning navigating ship)..
In order to automate your business so that it starts making you money and gives you freedom to live a quality balanced life that you desire, our initial step is to stay focused on the money. We follow the money with the owners and our goal is always to increase the profitability of the company while we streamline its operations. We review and enhance the financial tracking systems and create a very reliable financial system that would posses the indicators necessary to identify the impending problems early and help navigate the business through its next stages of growth and development.
Secondly, we recognize that every small or medium sized business must have a clear functional structure. Within this functional organization each individual must have a clear and concise job description with detailed procedure and protocols. In this way, the efficiency of the organization will be assured and in case there is any turn-over in the employees, the organization does not fall apart. Further, by following a clearly perfected and predetermined procedure and protocol; the management can trouble shoot and identify exactly as to where the problem has been created and by changing the procedure and protocols, the future problems can be avoided.
Once we have identified and defined the specific functional units of the organization and completed the development of the independently functioning organizational structure, we then focus on the management team.
Finally, we make sure that the management team receives adequate training so that each member has clear understanding of the required management skills to enhance the functioning of the organization. Specifically, we identify the right indicators for management to utilize. The purpose of these indicators is that before a major noticeable or irreversible problem is discovered; the management team possess the visibility to navigate the business in such way as to prevent these problems to begin with. Additionally, no decision should be made without clear understanding of these indicators, the P&L and the financial statements.
It is extremely important that the management team do everything in the business according to these indicators as well as the P&L & financial statements being able to report this information back to the owner. Once the operating management are able to navigate the business without constant reliance on the presence of the owner of the company, only then you can be proud to own a profitable, automated business that allows you the freedom to enjoy a quality, balanced life you deserve.
