Authenticity as the Magic 8 Ball

Do you wish you had all the answers? Learn where the answers really lie!
I often get questions from people who seem to think I have all the answers. And while I appreciate the accolades, it’s simply not true. The only reason I have any answers at all is because I have done anything and everything in my power to find my own path. I have learned through trial and error how to create the life I want. And I’m still learning. I have sought answers, absorbed information, learned new things, tested them out in my own life, analyzed, meditated upon, experienced, and decided what to keep and what to throw away for myself. And that’s what’s so interesting in any healing process, any period of growth, and any figuring out of anything – we, ourselves, have the answers.
We can seek out information, new methods, books, workshops, life coaching, advice, and spiritual counseling – but nothing will be file sorter of what resonates, nor the glue to hold that information together for us like our own authenticity. Once we gain access to different methods of healing and views on life, it’s important to realize that all it is is self exploration in the end. All of these methods, modalities, experts and viewpoints are all ways of helping us as individuals to explore our own lives and how we live them. And it’s simply impossible to do that, especially to make decisions as to what we intend to take on for ourselves, without finding out what your own authenticity means to you.
How YOU show up in certain situations, what YOUR perspective is on life and it’s dynamics, and how YOU show up for yourself and others is more important than any one specific lesson you could learn, or new piece of information you could gather. It’s your authenticity and understanding of yourself that guides you to determining how you’re going to use new information, life lessons, and whatever comes your way. So keep learning, keep growing, keep exploring – but remember that before any of it will fully matter in your life, start getting to know yourself first. Your knowledge of what authenticity means to you, and a grounded sense of your actions, beliefs, decisions, and way of being as an expressions of the self is what will give you the strength to learn, grow, and experience a life of wholeness and fulfillment. Chances are it’s what you’ve been inclined to do all along, and what felt right in the first place – because as we experience an influx of questions, our souls are generally calling out to us with the answers anyway.
