Connect first, let the magic flow...
It’s easy to be grim a lot of the time. Especially about work, achievement and status. We’ve been taught to be serious, put our nose to the grindstone and roll up our sleeves. If we have a task to do, we get right to the business at hand; “Hop to it Holmes; chop chop.” There’s no time to waste. Time is money.
Lists and agendas take precedence over fun and connection. We are so outcome driven that we forgo joy in our lives. We are so serious that we become dour and our lives become small.
I want to throw these ideas and ways of doing on their proverbial ass.
I propose connection first. I believe and know from experience that when we care about each other more than the stuff we have to check off our list of things to do, we enjoy life more and the result of our work is more prolific, fun and meaningful.
Be the change… Live different. be|come Alive.
