Are you stuck in a life’s rut? Or, Are you stuck in your own rut?

As a Life coach, I aim to help my clients try to separate their personal lives from their professional lives. If there is no separation between the two a person may struggle to understand where the negative or frustrating feelings they are experiencing are coming from, and the results of hasty decisions because of this could be catastrophic in their lives. The benefit to consulting with a Life Coach is that we can help you decipher your feelings into clear visions, and help you continue to move ahead. Coaching is a confidential way to reach decisions in life that you can feel good about. We will ask you the right questions and help you devise a plan to make sure your dreams come true.
“If we are left to our own devices, how many of us would think about or set personal goals? Studies show that a small percentage of the population set goals. Studies also show that a large percentage of the people who set goals, went on to achieve them, and were happy and more fulfilled.” by John Curran
Don’t you want to be one of these people, one that has a plan and a vision, and knows how to get there? We all want this and we all need this. I can guarantee that if you don’t set goals in life, it will be more difficult if not impossible to reach your future.
Getting stuck in a rut can truly suck. Reasons why we get stuck in a rut can vary. It is very possible for you to think that your career or job is the reason why you are so unhappy, or you may think it’s your kids or your spouse or your house, etc. However, if you feel this way, then you should begin to figure out why. You must start with yourself because you are the reason this is happening. If we are unhappy it is because we are allowing ourselves to feel this way. We are the makers of our own lives. We can either live them or we can leave them. I prefer to live in my life and I want to make sure you want to live in yours. Life Coaching can be therapeutic but remember it is not therapy. They have counselors for that sort of thing.
Allowing your rut to continue for too long may create a person even you don’t recognize. If you think it is your job getting you down, then let’s talk about it. It may be time to analyze that job and your education to see if it is possible for a career change. But what if it is not your job? Have you ever thought about that? It could be something completely different. Maybe it’s the weather, or your kids, or your wardrobe, or your hairstyle? Any one of these things can make you seem unhappy in other areas of your life, and it becomes easy to blame anything and everything in your path for why your life has gone awry.
“The truth is that every moment of your life you have a choice on how to feel, how to react, how to communicate, how to make personal changes, the list goes on.” by Corinne Valentine
If you feel like you are in a life’s rut there may be no end in sight. Sometimes we think we are stuck in our careers and have no way out, or we may feel like we are not appreciated at work or at home or in the community. We feel lost. So how do we figure out if it’s a life’s rut or a personal rut? We call our Life Coach and begin making solutions.
