I’m sure many are skeptical of the Law of Attraction and I truly understand your skepticism. Heck, I was for many years. "It is difficult, I believe, for many to appreciate the Law of Attraction. First, I believe that my favorite person, Abraham Lincoln, said it best. He said, “You are what you think.” I also often quote Henry Ford who said, “If you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.”
When I speak on the Law of Attraction, I give two examples based on these two quotes. If you think you are poor and you become rich, you will soon become poor again. That has been proved many times when someone wins millions of dollars in a lottery and 3 years later, that person is broke and worse off than before. Now, you can say, that he was inexperienced or he just through away his money, or he gave his money to all his friends and family or he attracted the wrong kinds of people like con-artists. Regardless, if you think poor, you will be attracted to poor solutions and eventually you will lose your money.
Conversely, even if you are poor, but you think wealth and you believe that you will be wealthy, you will become wealthy. Look at the movie, Pursuit of Happiness, the true story of Chris Gardner who lost everything and was homeless with his son. Even while homeless, he had the attitude of being rich and eventually, he became a wealthy man. Sure, you may say that he was l lucky to find a way out of his homelessness, but is it luck? He, in my opinion, created his own luck through desire, determination and perseverance. This means that you can’t just think wealth and you will become wealthy. You need to take action. You cannot win the Lotto unless you purchase a Lotto ticket. You need to take that effort to buy the ticket. Unfortunately, too many people think they can be wealthy only if they continue to play the Lotto week after week, month after month and year after year; whereas, every person has the opportunity to be wealthy by changing their paradigm.
The Law of Attraction may seem magical and mysterious, but once you understand, it is not. More than anything, I believe it is a mental “attitude,” but with that mental attitude of “Yes I can,” or “Nothing is going to stop me.”
Henry Ford was said it so well. If you think you can do something, you will find a way because doors of opportunity will open. The key is that you will not only open the doors of opportunity, but you walk through the door to the other side. With a “I think I can’t” attitude, you may have the same doors of opportunity, but you are not looking for them and thus you will pass them by. And if you happen to see a door of opportunity, you may open the door , but you will not walk through because you are stepping out of your comfort zone.
Yes, you can achieve success. Yes, you can achieve wealth. Yes, you can achieve true happiness. However, you need to believe in yourself and take action.
