How to comfort yourself while in grief
A warm blanket on a cold night, a hug from someone you love, a cup of warm tea, These are a few things that help me feel better when I am sad or feel lonely.
We have noticed in the field of grief that it is very important to have things in your environment that make you feel good. It does not fully take all the pain away but it does help a lot. When you get your mind off the major problem you are better able to think of solutions.
An example of a solution that you might come up with could be something like this. The next time I am feeling sad because I am in the situation that I am in I will call a friend, have some tea, what ever it is that will ease the pain and make me feel better.
Grief is like traffice it never stops. We can stop some of the pain by feeling more comfortable.
