What Does Your Name Say About You?

Your name is more than a collection of letters and syllables. It is assisting you along your journey.
Your name is more than just a collection of letters and a series of syllables. Your name is more than the works of the creative genius who named you at birth. No, your name is not just about your family lineage or where you came from. It is more than you can ever imagine. So, what is your name all about?
Your name identifies who you are in more ways than one. Your name, the one word that is guaranteed to trigger a response from you, reveals certain aspects of your personality, your character, and your natural gifts and talents. Your name reveals your strengths and weaknesses, your desires and motivations. Your name even reveals habits that you are challenged by.
In numerology, your name is comprised of a collection of letters that correspond with a number valued from 1 through 9. Each number represents a distinct quality or characteristic. These numbers are symbols of the invisible energy vibrations that make up our universe. Since you are part of the Universe, you too, embody these invisible energy vibrations. You and your name are one. You are the tangible manifestation of the invisible energy vibration that your name represents.
Your parents intuitively knew what they were doing when they named you. The qualities that you were to have, the personality that would reveal itself, the challenges that you would eventually face in this life were constructed with the help of your parents through the naming process. It is no wonder why some cultures take the naming process very seriously. It is also no wonder why some cultures wait until after the child is born to name the child.
A few weeks before I found out that I was pregnant with my first son, I had a dream that I had a little boy named Corey. When my pregnancy was confirmed, I already knew that it had to be a boy and that I had to name him Corey. C-O-R-E-Y is the most common spelling. However, I did not elect to spell my son’s name in this commonly fashion. I spelled his name K-O-H-R-I. Don’t ask me why, I guess I just wanted him to be original. In numerology, the spelling of a name can make a tremendous difference in the character and personality of the person bearing the name. For example, numerically, C-O-R-E-Y corresponds with the numbers 3-6-9-5-7. In numerology, you add the total of the numbers and reduce them to a single digit 1 through 9. Corey, reduced to a single digit, has the qualities of the number 3. On the other hand, K-O-H-R-I corresponds with the numbers 2-6-8-9-1 which reduces to 8. Therefore, the name Kohri has the qualities of the number 8. The qualities of 3 are creativity, communication, optimism, and friendliness. Whereas the number 8, embodies the qualities of power, authority, capability, and hard work. As you can see, the qualities of these two numbers are very different and distinct from one another.
Although my son is still in the developmental stages of his personality (he’s now 14 years old), the qualities that his first name bears will be used as tools to help him along his life’s journey. Since I have already taken the liberty to discover his Life Path, I understand clearly how useful the qualities of the 8 vibration will be to his overall journey. Thank God, I listened to my dream and followed my intuition.
Your name, whether you are aware of it or not, is assisting you along your journey. Your name is providing you with the tools necessary for your growth and development. It is an invisible guide with extraordinary power. You are your name. What does your name say about you?
