THE POWER OF THE QUESTION
How are my thoughts and actions is this moment affecting my VISION?
I love summer! The days are longer, the weather is to my liking, some things seem to slow down a bit, and life is often more leisurely. This morning during my wake-up power walk I started to think about the power of questions. Specifically, what sort of questions would be enlightening to ask oneself? What are some good questions to ponder? What type of questions have the power to propel you into inspired action? What sort of questions can lift your mood?
This is what I came up with today:
What do I want all of my relationships to look and feel like?
How much happier can I get?
What brings me the most joy in life?
How much joy can I spread around?
How good can my life get today?
How much more beautiful can it get outside today?
What is the most amazing thing that could happen to me today?
How much laughter can I have bubbling up inside of me today?
How much fun can I have this summer?
How much better can it get?
How do I really want to feel today?
You get the idea! A suggested exercise is to play a game of asking yourself these types of questions today while you are exercising, or relaxing, or taking a break at your desk. You could write them down if you want, and keep them as a reference list when you feel you’d like to refocus or raise your mood.
Asking yourself questions such as these is a powerful tool to stay connected to yourself and to your VISION, especially if you feel a little discouraged or off track in some way. Happy asking!
