"It's How GREAT You want to be"

Many times Family, Friends & Co-Workers tell us more of what they think we want to hear, rather than what we need to hear...
“IT’S HOW GREAT YOU WANT TO BE”
IT’S NOT HOW GOOD YOU ARE, IT’S HOW GREAT YOU WANT TO BE!
It is important to aim beyond what you are capable of. Attempt to do things that you are normally incapable of, and do not be afraid to slip or fall. Taking the easy way out of a tough situation in your life is just that. But being able to rise above and explore new ways can be rewarding in so many different aspects. Nothing is impossible, and making your vision become a reality takes risk and practice. “Rome was not built in a day.”
Many times, people can be good at their job. However those who dare to “think bigger and actually do” are the great ones who climb the ladder and get noticed. Leading to more opportunities and an excellent sense of self-accomplishment. This is the same with life. We can be good at trying to attain our goals, aspirations and daily life and maybe get by. But consistently practicing certain life steps and going the extra mile, we can be great.
- Accountability (Ask yourself what role you play in a given situation).
- Focus (Find new ways to practice self discipline & self motivation).
- Planning (Plan on failing, before you are able to succeed).
- Commitment (Can I make a solid commitment to truly attaining my life goals?)
- Follow Through (Feeling the need to please myself, before pleasing others).
*Taking the time to actually understand how the above words pertain to us is a crucial step. Break down each word in detail, and how you feel it pertains to your life specifically. Be sure to be honest, yet constructive and think out side the box.
“DO NOT SEEK PRAISE, SEEK CRITICISM”
It is quite easy to get approval if we ask enough people. Family, Friends, co-workers spend time telling us more of what they think we want to hear, rather than what we need to hear. Again, same thing with life. If instead of seeking approval, or trying to “just get by” maybe ask yourself: What is wrong with a certain situation? Or How can I take accountability to make this different? We hold the power to pick ourselves up, when we slip or fall. Support from others is comforting and somewhat effective, however the more we understand our role with “driving the bus” the more we solidify change for the better.
“YOUR VISION OF WHERE YOU WANT TO GO & WHO YOU WANT TO BE IS THE GREATEST ASSET THAT YOU HAVE….WITHOUT HAVING A GOAL, IT IS DIFICULT TO SCORE!”
Take a step back. Look at the above and really think about this. Direction, Assertiveness, Motivation and Follow Through, all play vital roles in this saying. Please feel free to add words that you might feel are applicable, however the object of the drill is to understand and respect the role we must play in our goals, decisions and commitment to life & work… everyday.
