Living nO MAC in Life

In my last article, I introduced nO MAC ... now lets take it into life ...
Last article, I explained NO MAC … if you did not read it, find it and read that article … it sets the foundation for this article … thanks for your comments … so some comments were based around how to live this … this week I will explain Living a NO MAC presence in life …
First two understandings I have in life around NO MAC …
First, my ‘understanding’ of life is that is ALWAYS coming at me. Always! I know that … I can accept that.
Second, my understanding of life is that I have a choice of living from the inside – out or living from the outside – in … I choose living from the inside – out!
Life, for Jim, is like a river … always flowing … I imagine myself in the river of life. Now I live in the Rocky Mountains. Let me tell you a little bit about the rivers in the west … at some points, there is calm flowing water, at other points the water flows around rocks of various sizes and trees and other debris.
And, if I am flowing with the current, I have two choices – I can fight the current, the rocks, the debris or I can surrender.
Fighting means resisting the rocks, the trees, the debris, even resisting the smooth parts of the river … pushing back … yelling NO as if what I am yelling at hears me, understands, and will move at my voice command. Fighting also means exerting a level of energy which will deplete me … leaving me tired, frustrated … even often time thinking that the river should be different than it actually is … that the rocks and the debris of the river also should be different than they actually are … incredibly tiring, depleting, exhausting …
Now surrender … surrender means understanding that as I flow down the river, at times it will be smooth, and at other times the current of the river will bring rocks, trees and other debris which will get in my way and potentially impede my travel. Surrender means knowing this such that I am aware of my position in the water and as debris comes up, I am in a position to move, shift, and adjust so as to create maximum ease in flowing past the obstacles of life. Knowing I am strong and I get to choose (from the inside out) how I handle each or multiple rocks, trees, and debris. Being so present in the current that I actually learn to anticipate the debris which impedes my moving forward in the current … actually playing a game in life … like a child plays games …
OK, now my loyal readers … what if life were the river? What if life were a game? What if the rocks, trees, and debris were the ‘obstacles’ including the negative thought patterns in life?
NO MAC means you know life is providing obstacles and when we are aware of this, we can surrender and create a mindset to flow gracefully with everything which comes at us in life.
Yes, at times life gives us a ‘gut punch.’ And we get through it. At times, life smacks us down hard. And we get through it and get up. We are BEings of strength and resilience. When a baby first learns to walk, they fall. What do they do? They DO NOT choose to never get up again as they may fall – they have not learned failure fully yet – failure is a learned activity. They get up and get up and get up until they learn to walk and then learn to run …
This week, apply NO MAC to how you see your world. See what insights arise … share those insights …
You CAN create an AWESOME life … one moment at a time …
