The Power of Failure

Failure is our greatest teacher ... what have you learned?
How do you define failure?
I Googled it … 1) Lack of success
Failure is powerful … it destroys dreams … it crushes the spark of creativity … it closes the door of possibility … it snuffs the life out of some … it brings the eyes down and at times … draws a tear … yes, for some failure is powerful …
What if failure was just a stepping-stone to success?
How do you define success?
I Googled success … 1) The accomplishment of an aim or purpose.
Success is powerful … it creates dreams … it engenders the spark of creativity … it opens the door of possibility … it fuels the life of some … it brings the eyes up and at times … draws a tear … yes, for some success is powerful …
And yet, one cannot experience success without failure … it takes failure to appreciate success … and it takes success to appreciate failure.
Think about this … failure is learned … conditioned into us. Imagine if failure was the first thing babies learned … the world would be designed to accommodate crawling, because the first time we failed walking we would never try again, we would have accepted the pain of the first fall and live life crawling. But babies don’t, do they … they attempt to get up after EVERY time they fall until the learn to crawl, walk, and then run … only later do we create stories and blocks which lock us into the ruts of failure.
Success is the byproduct of failure …
What have your top three failures been? Write them out …
What have your top three successes been? Write them out …
If the failures had not occurred, would the successes have? I’d bet you can see that failure is a stepping-stone to success. Without failure, success would have no meaning …
Now, if you continue to fail and fail and fail and fail, that could be a sign of a few things:
1. You have unconscious programming that you are not fully aware of …
2. You do not see the unconscious blocks that you continue to repeat …
3. The events of your childhood have created spaces of being that you do not understand …
4. You are not living into your authentic self, and in the lack of authentic living; life is just one failure after another …
5. You are ruled by strong emotions, which cloud your abilities and gifts in the world.
6. You are stubborn and just may enjoy failure …
Now, if yours is one of the first five items, a transformative coach may just be the thing to shift your paradigms and create and live into an amazing life … it is just that simple.
If it is the last one, I cannot assist you … I would fail and I do fail … I just have perspective on the blessings of failure … what are your blessings from failure?
Create an AWESOME week … and if your fail, it might be the stepping stone into a great success …
