The Presence of Presence!!

The art of Boundaries and Presence ... How Present are you?
Presence – the ability to BE in the moment right here, right now.
Presence – How often are you ‘present’ in the world?
Presence for me is the space where you are aware of where you are / who you are with / the situation at hand … with NOTHING else in your mind … you just get to be with the situation as it is right now …
With awareness of your thoughts, creating the space of your day when you first wake up … now is the time to BE present. Notice that when you are in conversation, are you listening to each word the person speaking is saying? Or are you thinking about a thought, your cell phone, your response, maybe you are internally wondering why you are in this place … all of these take your presence away and leave you dis-empowered …
An example – I answered a phone call – the caller asked how much time I had … “about 10 minutes” … the caller began speaking … and speaking … and speaking … I was not present, just watching the minutes tick by … 27 minutes later I was furious … not at the caller, I was furious with me … I was not honoring the boundary I had established … I was seeing all the places I do not honor my boundaries … I was not present to ANYTHING the caller was saying … I finally spoke up – “I had a client in 4 minutes” … the person stopped talking and just hung up … later we chatted and I said I had not honored my boundaries … and stopped being present with the caller … I saw and learned …
So this week … practice presence … notice when you are present and when you not present. NOTE: no judgment, just awareness … the art of holding presence has us flowing in and out of being present.
Once you notice, see what takes you out of presence … these are the thoughts which take you out of presence … let them go … step back into presence. Once you develop and understanding and an awareness, presence will become second nature to you … It is learning to become aware and allowing your amazing deep inner nature to be what is once as a baby – present!
So, create a present week … and see what arises …
