The Tree of Life

I have always looked at the Chakras as human energy centers and never beyond that. I related to them, meditated on them, adjusted, balanced them the best I could, and felt them in others as a human being with all references to a human being. And it worked to a point, until…I was reading a book and it used the word “breathe” as a point of meditation in regards to the 3rd Chakra (power). The 3rd Chakra is based upon self-confidence, self-esteem, personal power, abundance, energy, fire….the SUN. At this same time I happen to be in my favorite coffee shop looking out the window at the trees in front that were just beginning to show the green of the new leaves and it hit me so hard, to look at our energy centers and relate oneself to a tree. A perfect example of God, Creation, the Universe, Christ, Buddha, the Holy Spirit, etc. So to help in understanding ourselves via our Chakras, our energy centers…I am writing this article about the Tree of Life.

ROOTS / EARTH / GROUNDED

Our first energy center is called the Root Chakra, it is our grounding source and words that are associated with this Chakra are: Earth, Roots, Grounding, Survival, Body, Food, Matter.

To simplify this and to not make it a long drawn out article I want you to just picture yourself as a seed of some tree of your choice. I choose the great redwood. I am a seed, everything that is a great redwood is in me (God), not yet manifested.

I fall to the earth, the ground and because we are all expansive beings I begin to expand downward. I expand via sprouting roots into the ground. Finding sustenance and nutrition. And what an abundance there is…The earth is full of abundance to sustain life. It is all there for me, as wide as it is deep. So my tree-like (god-like) attributes begin to manifest naturally. Innately knowing what I will eventually become, my roots go deep and eventually without even trying the next energy system manifests itself…water

WATER / EMOTIONS / FLUID

Our second energy center is called the Sacral Chakra, and words that are associated with this Chakra are: Water, Change, Polarities, Movement, Pleasure, Emotions, Sexuality, Nurturance.

Water finds its way to me and I begin to expand even more, I naturally, expand upwards. (I will use the word naturally frequently because we are natural if we just allow ourselves to be.) Within myself, this seed that is now grounded in the earth, I begin to change in a new direction. I start to see myself as I truly am, a creation of that which is greater. In my case, a great redwood tree. Water brings a new awareness, nurturing me in a way that the earth can not alone. I begin to express myself, naturally and because I am doing this, I feel a sense of warmth. When an animate object is moved over an inanimate object you get friction and the next energy source manifests itself…the sun

SUN / FIRE / POWER

Our third energy center is called the Naval Chakra, and words that are associated with this Chakra are: Fire, Power, Will, Energy, Metabolism, Transformation, Self-esteem, Confidence.

There is now, literally, a breakthrough that naturally happens when we are balanced in the earth and with water. We breakthrough the earth to feel the warmth of the sun. A fire that burns in us, a new chemical reaction occurs. We see ourselves in a new light as god-like. Everything has been provided for us, no question in our minds. No if’s or maybe’s, everything has been provided. So, naturally, we gain a new level of confidence and it lights us on fire. We look at ourselves and can see that we are more like the tree that created us. With all of these energies / elements that have been provided for us, we take off shooting upward and expanding even more. And the next energy source manifests itself…air

AIR / LOVE

Our fourth energy center is called the Heart Chakra, and words that are associated with this Chakra are: Love, Air, Breath, Balance, Relationship, Unity, Healing.

We are now growing as high as we are deep. There is a sense of balance. And with this new energy we find a new awareness about our tree-like selves. We find Love. A deep self-love and a love for our creator. You feel love because without any doing on your part, everything was provided for you. This air/love that is coming to you, you process it, heal yourself with it and then something cool happens, you express it outwards for other beings to feel. To breathe in. You are a part of the nurturing universe. You are seeing yourself as more tree-like (god-like) as ever before. You breathe in abundance, take from it what you need and exhale abundance for others. You see yourself in a new spiritual light. You want more so your roots go deeper and wider to take in more water and nutrients, and you want more light and sun so you can express more, so you manifest yourself in a new way…leaves

LEAVES / LIGHT / TRUTH / CREATIVITY

Our fifth energy center is called the Throat Chakra, and words that are associated with this Chakra are: Ether, Sound, Vibration, Communication, Creativity.

Once again a new awareness is found, that you are becoming just like the tree that created you. You are taking in abundance, all that has been provided for you and you are expressing abundance out. You are Love. You are growing leaves now. You are becoming sustenance for other beings. Food, shelter, shade, oxygen are naturally being manifest by you. You are aware that you are creative…unique and you can communicate this to all those around you just by others seeing what you are. You feel complete and full, yet something happens with this new creative spirit you have found, something manifests itself…blossoms

BLOSSOMS / IMAGINATION / INTUITION

Our sixth energy center is called the Third Eye Chakra, words that are associated with this Chakra are: Light, Color, Seeing, Intuition, Visualization, Imagination, Vision.

Your beauty manifests in color now through blossoms. This is a new spiritual side to your tree-likeness. It has nothing to do with needing or giving sustenance. It is intuitive beauty. Your expressing yourself in new ways. A new light. All of what is transpired up to this point has happened naturally and effortlessly. You are grounded deep in the earth, you take in the necessary elements and express love and life. You are powerful. You are creative and intuitive and the last part of you manifests itself…fruit/seed

FRUIT / SEEDS / KNOWING

Our seventh energy center is called the Crown Chakra, and words that are associated with this Chakra are: Consciousness, Thought, Information, Knowing, Understanding, Meditation.

Fruit appears now where blossoms were and you come to know that you are a creator, a god. You manifest yourself as God manifests itself. You are life giving and can create new life by taking the god-likeness in you and expressing it out, as a seed. For you to see you as you have always been…a perfect being.

This process of the Tree of Life can happen to us throughout our life and can fall out of balance and areas can even be over-active at times. But we just lack the awareness and knowledge of who we truly are and what has been given to us to be that being, to express Who We Are and to create what we want. The Tree of Life shows a balance of perfect abundance in all things.

Through my life-coaching, I want to help those come to this awareness. To see what they truly are and to be aware what is around them.
