Getting unstuck and moving forward begins with resonate actions that align your mind, body, spirit and relationships.
Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart…. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes. – Carl Jung
Here is the funny thing about life, we move forward at the speed of light only to find out that we are moving in circles. So we move faster, work harder and take on more thinking that it will get us unstuck, when in fact the exact opposite is true. When you are tempted to keep pushing, slow down and reconnect with yourself before any further action is taken. Getting into alignment will ease your way, calm your mind and remove barriers that once seemed insurmountable. Below are a few simple actions you can take today to get unstuck:
Body: Get outside and move. A walk in your neighborhood, a gentle hike or a yoga class is a powerful way to get your body moving forward to achieve a goal. The mind and spirit often follow the body, so physical movement is a great way to get started.
Mind: Ask yourself, “If things continue as they are, what will the impact be?” If your answer is not positive or moving you in the right direction, then decide what could be changed. Adjust the areas where you will encounter the least amount of resistance, such as choosing to go to bed a little earlier or leaving work at a set time each day.
Spirit: Spend 15 minutes meditating on the question “What will be most important to me 10 years from now?” Write down your thoughts and ask yourself if the actions you are taking today are moving you closer or further from that future state. Remove activities from your to-do list that are not serving your best life.
Relationships: Surround yourself with people who are moving forward in their lives and who believe in you. Remember we are what we surround ourselves with, so you may need to weed out some relationships that you have outgrown. Nurture new connections and tune-up old relationships so that they recharge your spirit and don’t drain your energy.
Pick the action that resonates with you and observe how it changes your internal and external environments in a positive way. If you feel so inspired, try all four. Changing your routine with any of these is a fresh start toward your best life. It is a great way to align your body, mind, spirit and relationships.
