Manifesting a Million Dollars

If you want to manifest a million dollars, stop thinking so small!
We all laughed when Dr. Evil from the Austin Powers movie asks for only one million dollars as ransom. We laughed because we know that in today’s economy one million dollars is a very small sum compared to what it would have been in the 1960’s. He could have asked for billions, even trillions, yet he only asks for one million.
Strangely enough, when I tell people I am a Law of Attraction Life Coach, they often ask me if I have manifested a million dollars yet. This question always amuses me. Only a million dollars? Why would I think so small? That number is so limiting!
As a co-creator with the Universe, I know that I have everything that I need or want available to me. My needs are always met exactly in the moment that I need them. My wants sometimes require patience and right-timing. But if they are true heart’s desires, they always manifest- always. At times I may have limited savings in my account, and yet I never struggle to make ends meet. I simply use the principles of the Law of Attraction to ask for what I need, visualize receiving it, trust that it will come, and it always does.
When a client tells me they would like to manifest a million dollars, I ask them to imagine how having that amount of money might change their life. What would be different from how they currently live? Often the first thing that comes to mind is that they would quit their day job. I press a little further and ask what is preventing them from doing that right now? Without fail, they talk about needing their day job to pay for their current lifestyle. I can certainly understand this. We all have needs that have to be met, and few of us are willing to make drastic changes to our lifestyle to pursue a dream. But what if we didn’t have to? What if we could expand our minds to include a view that we are fully supported by the Universe in all ways possible?
Jesus said that if we have faith the size of a mustard seed we could move a mountain. A mustard seed!! Have you seen one? That’s a pretty small seed. Scientists say that we use only 6% of our total brain power- I just bet that mountain could be moved if we could tap into another 1-2%!!
The problem for many of us is that taking a leap of faith is just too scary. Giving up our day job without a safety net seems like something a lunatic would do. What if we leap forward and now our children don’t have anything to eat, or our home is foreclosed on, or our car repossessed because we didn’t manifest an income quickly enough? These are valid fears for anyone who has not yet fully grasped how their thoughts create their reality.
Often the best way to grow in faith is to take small steps instead of giant leaps. By moving in the direction of our dreams without giving up our perceived security from our day job, we begin to realize that we can manifest easily. Our fear is diminished and does not block us from receiving the sales or clients needed to build our business. In time, we come to a cross-roads where we will need to decide if we have enough faith in our ability to co-create with the Universe to let go of our safety net and take a leap of faith. And when we do, we begin to see how the Universe meets our needs fully. Our mindset changes over that time of faith-building, and now we easily attract the necessary ingredients to make our dreams a reality.
Now, if your core belief is that money is the only thing that can buy you happiness, I would challenge you to see what things you have in your life that fulfill you, but cannot be bought with money. The love of family, friends, and your pet? The joy of finishing a project, or achieving a goal? What about pleasure from reading a book, or feeling the sun on your skin? How would having a million dollars buy any of these things for you?
Money is only one form of currency that the Universe uses to help you manifest your desires. But there are so many other ways to manifest our needs and wants if we simply allow all forms of energy to flow into our lives. For example, I needed some home repairs done. While I had the repairman give me an estimate for a leaking toilet, I also showed him how my back door had come off the hinges. He immediately fixed the issue and said “no charge”. His life energy was the form of currency the Universe used to take care of that need, and money was the currency used to fix the leaking toilet.
When we open to receiving in many ways, and stop limiting how we manifest to only what money can buy, we get a sense of how truly wealthy we really are. If I happen to manifest a million, billion, or trillion dollars in my lifetime that would be great. I will use it to improve the lives of as many people as I can possibly reach. But I do not need to have a million dollars in the bank to have the life I dream of. I can easily manifest exotic vacations, homes, cars, etc. I would not stop coaching, or going to school because those things tie directly to my life purpose and are deeply fulfilling to me. I have the greatest sense of financial security because my needs and wants being met is not dependent upon how much money I earn or save. It is dependent on my faith in my ability to manifest and attract an abundant lifestyle. As that faith grows and matures, I find it easier to make the big leaps instead of only small steps. Who knows, perhaps one day I may just move that mountain simply for the joy of it!
