How to Strenghten your foundation

The first tip in the Top 10 ways to a better life is to Strenghten your foundation.
In order to strengthen a foundation, the first thing to decide, is the substance your foundation is made. There are two stories that illustrate this to greater detail. The first is found in the Holy Bible Matthew 7:24-27. In this parable, Jesus teaches about the wise and foolish builder, two builders decide to each build a house using different foundations. One chose sand and the other chose rock. There came a time when a fierce storm came through and beat against the houses one stood firm and the other was crushed beyond repair. Can you guess which stood firm? If you said the one built on rock stood then you would be correct. The next story that illustrates this point is the story of “The Three Little Pigs,” this old bedtime story told by James Orchard Halliwell-Phillipps, relates the story in another way. Three little pigs set out to find their way in the world and each decided to build a house. One chose straw, another chose sticks, and finally the third brick. There came a time when an enemy built on destruction came to attack the pigs. Two houses were destroyed by a “huff” and a “buff”, and one house stood firm- one guess on the house that stood. If you said the house built on bricks stood then you would be correct once again. The point in all of this is simple make sure that your foundation is solid or when the winds, storms, or a "huff " and a “buff” that comes to every person comes against you- you will crumble under the debris. Or you could stand firm and endure the winds, storms, and “huff” and “buff” in great confidence knowing that your stance is firm and solid.
The old adage that says if you don’t stand for something you will fall for anything holds true. Only you can decide on what that foundation is based. Teaching you to discover the truth that lies within each individual is the goal and purpose of Transforming Mindz Ministries. Claude Bristol says in his book, The Magic of Believing, “if you do not follow your own thoughts, then you will follow the thoughts of the fellow who followed his,” and this marks the difference between a leader and a follower. So, the question is do you want to be a leader or a follower in your own destiny? If you choose to become a leader then make sure that your foundation is solid. If you just want to be a follower then keep doing what you are doing and don’t make any changes. Let’s start with a truth you are made by God to be the head and not the tail, to be above and not beneath your circumstance. The choice is yours to make- are you going to decide to build your foundation on something solid or is your foundation built on sand, hay or straw? If you want to have confidence that replaces fear and allows you to have all of your needs met, then learn today how to strengthen your foundation you will have better life.
