The Road to Health and Wellness

Ever feel like you are juggling too many balls in the air and not doing anything well?
We all have our areas of blindness when it comes to our own health. My particular area of ignorance happens to be physical wellness. Emotional health and wellness- that makes sense to me. Over the last 2 years my body has been sending me increasingly frantic messages. . .”pay attention to MEEEE!!!”. Reluctantly I have agreed, and to my amazement the visits to the doctor, massage therapist and chiropractor have revealed a body much in need of some TLC. I am on my journey of being kinder to my body, treating it as an extension of my emotional self as opposed to a machine that will do my bidding. I know this is my particular blind spot regarding my whole integrated self, but I know for others that blind spot is around their emotional health. Instead of muscles and organs crying out for attention, perhaps for you it is your heart and emotions demanding a bit more of your time.
Something I love about the world is that you don’t have to be great at everything, you can outsource. For my business, I do the work one on one with clients which is where I shine, but there are areas I can never hope to even be average at. My bookkeeping for example, or website design (this one is in process- and wow I had no idea how much work goes into it!). It is the same with our inner lives. In the emotional and spiritual realm, I get it and can pursue health effectively. When it comes to my body, I need help and a lot of it! In that area, I need to consult the experts.
If there is one thing I have learned in life, it is to do what you are born to do and trust others to do the same. Perhaps the most life and health affirming thing you can do is be honest with yourself about your limitations, and recognize and support genius in others.
In what areas of life do you need to stop white knuckling it on your own and ask the experts for help?
