Victim mindset vs. winner mindset

Can you imagine what the word “victim mindset” means? No? Then read on, maybe you even have it yourself.
A victim mindset is a mentality that affects your whole way of life.
.
Someone with a victim mindset is always looking for reasons why they can’t do something they would like to do/learn right now or why it is impossible for them, even though others in the same situation have already done it.
.
You can easily recognize it by the fact that the person blames everything else (their own environment, where they live, their childhood, the coronavirus, etc.) for their situation, just to avoid having to take responsibility for it themselves.
.
They come up with more creative excuses than a Nobel Prize winner could. “Yes, of course it’s easy for you because you look good/are sporty/earn more money than me/etc…. … but for ME it’s something very special.”
.
You lie to yourself so much that the beams bend, just so that you can temporarily feel good and not have to face the harsh reality.
.
This is a function of the ego, which desperately clings to your self-image so that it doesn’t have to drown in the raging tides of self-awareness.
.
It’s about looking ashamed, shrugging your shoulders and mumbling: “I tried…”. It’s about giving up and telling yourself you did your best, but the universe has conspired against you personally and it’s everyone else’s fault but your own.
.
Okay then, let’s move on to the winning mindset.
.
This mindset is about responsibility. Everything that happens is 100% your fault. If it doesn’t work, it’s your responsibility. If you don’t know why, it’s your responsibility to figure it out. If you don’t see a way to make it work, it’s your responsibility to find a way.
.
It’s about getting creative, developing a strategy and taking action.
.
It’s about welcoming the failures and seeing them as part of the learning process.
.
It’s also about forgiving yourself for your “mistakes” and learning from them so that you can do better from now on.
.
It’s about taking responsibility for the fulfillment of your dreams, no matter how hard the road is.
.
It’s about honesty, openness and humility.
.
It’s about finding the perfect zone between panic and underachievement in which you achieve maximum learning success.
.
People with a winning mindset leave behind the people who hold them back rather than support them. They choose to be surrounded by positive friends who encourage them and want to celebrate their successes with them.
.
People with a winning mindset surround themselves with other people with a winning mindset who are also on a journey to be the best version of themselves.
