Are you stuck in a rut, searching for a way to change your life?
Whether it’s the frustration of endless job applications, financial struggles that feel impossible to escape, or a relationship that seems beyond repair, we all face challenges that make us yearn for a better future.
But why do some people seem to achieve their goals faster than others? After studying this for some time, I’ve realized that the question isn’t just “How do I change my current reality?” Instead, we should be asking, “What do I need to change to bring in the future state I want, easier and faster?”
Let’s explore five powerful ideas to help you become the person who achieves your goals. Remember, to change your reality, you need to change from within.
1. Your Inner World Reflects Your Outer World
You don’t get what you want; you get who you are being.
BE = DO + HAVE
Question: Who do you need to be to do the actions that will allow you to have the results you want?
Method: Future Identity Anchoring
Start by visualizing the version of yourself who has already achieved your goals. What qualities do they embody? Align your daily actions with this future identity, anchoring yourself in the mindset of who you need to become.
2. Think in Terms of Energy, Frequency, and Vibration
“If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration.” – Nikola Tesla
The Law of Resonance suggests that a vibrating object can cause another object to vibrate at a higher amplitude. Resonance happens when the frequency of the initial object’s vibration matches the resonant frequency of the second object.
Questions:
What frequency am I vibrating at most of the time? Am I vibrating with emotions of stress, fear, or anger, or something higher?
How can I change my default state to gratitude or higher?
Method: Consciously reset every 3 hours, focusing on raising your energy to gratitude. A simple way to do this is by taking a few deep breaths and reflecting on something you are grateful for.
3. Understand Everything is Energy
The 1st Law of Thermodynamics states that energy cannot be created or destroyed.
Understand that your thoughts and emotions determine the degree of attraction, similar to the energy density of electromagnetic waves.
Recognize that you are a dynamo generator. A generator doesn’t have energy but creates it by transforming one from of energy to another! You can generate the emotions you want. You can generate the emotion of your “future state” as if you already have it.
Questions:
What would I feel when I accomplish my goal? What would it look like?
How can I train my body to generate this state on demand?
Method: Consciously reset every 3 hours. Feel gratitude and embody the feeling of your future state. Imagine you’ve already achieved your goals—what does that feel like? Practice generating that emotion regularly.
4. Master Your Default Emotional State
Your energy is directly influenced by your default emotional state because your response to circumstances is based on it.
Elevate your energy by leveling up your default emotional state.
Everyone has a default emotional state or “emotional home.” You know those people who are always sad, angry, or super excited? That’s their default.
Questions:
What is my default emotional state? (Pro tip: Ask the person closest to you.)
What default emotional state do I need to be in to flow toward my goals?
Method: Rewire your mind by making a new decision about your default emotional state. Visualize who you are going to “be” today. Begin your day by choosing the emotional state that aligns with your goals.
5. Where Your Focus Goes, Energy Flows
Clarity is power. Focus on what you want and take inspired action.
Questions:
Where do I focus most of the time? On problems or solutions? The past, present, or future? Fear or goals?
Method:
Set daily goals that align with your bigger vision. This creates a roadmap to guide your actions and keep you focused.
Take micro-breaks every 45 minutes to an hour to refocus and recharge your energy.
Changing your reality isn’t just about wanting something different—it’s about becoming someone different. By aligning your energy, thoughts, and actions with your future self, you can accelerate your journey toward your goals.
