Stop

To Stop is to picture the moment and reflect, is to let go, is grief, is letting yourself crushed.
To stop is to struggle in the diffusion process, the separation of something that has been part of your being and that represented you, that stayed on some sort of belief or another and dictated actions you have been taking but do not serve you anymore in this moment.
To Stop if to give up. So many specialists told me in my darkest hours to stop what I am doing. Full stop. I did not understand. Someone in a terrible state of trouble, burnout or indecision but looking to move forward and out of that state is very confused and can not easily put the finger on the “stop” button. What these people need be told is “Stop what is not serving you anymore” – and that’s enough guidance. Because they will just have to reflect themselves on the inner well that brings up poison instead of crystal clear water, go down there to remove that poison. What my grandparents used to do in the old days, when our yard well was giving bad water was to treat it with some sort of disinfectant. But, before we started drinking water again, we would have to take out dozens of buckets of treated water and throw it away. The same is with the stopping moment. We must consciously stop drinking the poisoned water that comes from our inner well, treat it with the right level of reflection and decisiveness and take out as many “buckets” as necessary, throw them out before we start drinking the good water, the one that keeps us alive. Meantime, you must endure thirst, maybe dehydration but the trust that there will be clear water in the well will keep you going.
What are you left with when stopping everything that doesn’t serve you anymore?
