What is true financial health?

Financial health is more than money in the bank.
The traditional definition of financial health describes only the monetary side: having enough money to pay for current and futures expenses, having some emergency funds to manage the unexpected events, spending less than what we earn…
But there is another aspect of financial health that is almost always overlooked: what’s behind the numbers in our bank accounts? Did we grow up hearing that money was evil, or money was the holy grail? Do we feel we do not deserve to earn, keep, or spend a lot of money? Do we feel like we just need a little more money to be in a “good” place financially? Do we link our self-worth to our money (see my previous post)? Are these beliefs constructive and helpful?
To me, true financial health is making choices with our money that are aligned with our values and goals, without pollutions from beliefs that are dragging us down. The monetary side will naturally become aligned as a result. This is my passion and my purpose: helping my clients become truly financially healthy.
