* The Theory of Psychological Comfort suggests that we perhaps have an elevated ability to be at peace with ourselves; we access these traits via open
Perhaps an enormous conspiracy of truths exists — one we often believe is self-evident. After all, we tend to hold fast to self-evident truths with a relentless fervor.
…and so it begins.
The spark of energetic conceptualization precedes all being; it dates back to the ‘Big Bang’. However, this is not the truth, which I intend to discuss. In the realm of consciousness, a struggle unfolds as human beings embark on a profound quest for psychological comfort. Therefore, a conspiracy of truths exists, as we consider ‘the great comfort zone fallacy’.
This is where our conundrum as conscious beings begins… Self-evident truths are just that—self-confirming.
These are the idioms of the ego in the lower phases of development. It sees its own ‘self-serving’ perspective.
In spite of the commonly held cultural belief that we evolve toward our optimum selves when we are uncomfortable, this belief may be fundamentally flawed.
This is because the discomfort we experience in difficult situations often causes us to react more impulsively and make decisions that may not be in our best interests.
Additionally, it can be difficult to assess our own capabilities and strengths in times of stress.
As we journey through the labyrinth of our minds, we encounter the formidable obstacle of energetic resistance. This resistance emerges from the self-created struggle for emotional regulation, where suppressed feelings and unresolved traumas become formidable adversaries.
… Cue Freddy Mercury!
The champions of this story are those who courageously face their existential crisis, seek somatic coherence, and embark on a transformative journey toward liberation.
Amidst this epic journey, we find ourselves confronting the shadows of the past, facing biased memories that have long been buried in the depths of our subconscious. The battle for emotional regulation requires resilience, and a vulnerable effort to address these suppressed emotions head-on, as the path to psychological comfort is paved with conscious awareness and acceptance.
Fear, guilt, and pain seemingly appear to challenge us at every step, testing our inherent resilience and determination. Yet, as we confront these inner foes, we welcome wisdom and strength, opening the door to a deeper understanding of our own psyche.
However, the energetic resistance doesn’t stop there. We never truly needed to create this illusory foe.
- In our lower phases of consciousness and ego development, we are locked into inherently restrictive and unhealthy frameworks of limiting perspective.
The perceived struggle for psychological comfort is intricately tied to somatic coherence, where the mind-body connection plays a pivotal role. Traumas and unresolved emotions often manifest as physical tensions and ailments, creating further limitations on our ability to access higher states of consciousness and a more embodied being.
To realign in this cosmic arrangement, we must delve into the depths of our bodies, first unraveling the knots of tension and finding harmony within. Only then can we ascend to higher planes of existence, unburdened by the energetic shackles that once hindered our growth.
In this tale of conscious discovery and resilience, we emerge transformed, having surrendered our internal battles to achieve psychological comfort and somatic coherence. When we dissolve energetic resistance, we unlock the gateways to higher states of consciousness and being, liberating us from the limitations of our past implicit memories. As we radiate the energy of newfound awareness and inner peace, our journey serves as an inspiring example for others to embrace the unified path of conscious exploration, healing, and transformation.
Our true essential nature is believed to be our higher consciousness, so let’s take a look at a few vital insights that will help us align with this state:
Often, we are conditioned to believe our greatest growth potential is found when we are uncomfortable and somatically disrupted. On the other hand, some people find that their greatest growth potential is actually found when they are in a relaxed state of psychological comfort. In this state, they are able to access higher levels of creativity and consciousness, and they are able to tap into their intuition more easily.
This is because when we are relaxed, our brains are operating in a less inhibited state, allowing us to access more abstract ideas and creative solutions that may have been blocked when we were in a state of discomfort. Relaxation can also lead to increased self-awareness and the ability to identify patterns in our lives more easily.
For example, when we engage in relaxation techniques such as meditation or controlled breathing, we become more aware of our cognition, thoughts, and feelings, enabling us to recognize and manage our emotions more effectively. This heightened awareness can also help us become more mindful of our behaviors and how they affect our relationships and environment. This can help us make better decisions and live more meaningful lives.
Psychological comfort is a necessary state to activate our higher levels of conscious awareness because it creates an environment conducive to cognitive processes and optimal functioning. When individuals feel psychologically comfortable, they experience reduced stress, anxiety, and distractions, which allows their energy to focus more efficiently and effectively on complex tasks and deep cognition.
Attaining psychological comfort plays a crucial role in our evolution toward higher consciousness. When we are psychologically comfortable, we are better equipped to face and process our fears, insecurities, and unresolved emotions. By embracing self-awareness and acknowledging our inner landscapes, we release the energetic resistance that hinders our growth. This process paves the way for greater self-discovery, personal transformation, and a deeper connection with universal consciousness.
Psychological comfort refers to a state of inner ease, contentment, and emotional well-being within an individual’s mind. It is characterized by a sense of harmony with one’s thoughts, emotions, experiences, and universal connection. Achieving psychological comfort involves a deep level of conscious awareness, acceptance, and emotional regulation, allowing individuals to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and inner and outer peace.
Here are the key reasons why psychological comfort is essential for higher levels of conscious awareness:
Reduced cognitive load: When we feel comfortable, our brains are not preoccupied with immediate threats or concerns, freeing up cognitive resources for higher-order vertical thinking, and extra-sensory perception. This enables us to delve into deeper introspection, creative problem-solving, and critical analysis.
Enhanced cognitive flexibility: Comfort fosters an open and flexible mindset, making it easier for us to consider multiple perspectives and explore new ideas. It helps us break free from rigid thought patterns and cognitive biases, leading to more innovative and insightful thinking.
Increased mindfulness and presence: Psychological comfort, promotes a sense of calmness and presence in the present moment. This heightened mindfulness allows us to focus fully on the task at hand, making us more attentive and aware of our thoughts and surroundings.
Greater emotional regulation: Feeling comfortable helps regulate emotions, reducing the likelihood of being overwhelmed by uncomfortable feelings. This emotional stability facilitates clearer cognition and decision-making, as well as a more constructive approach to problem-solving.
Enhanced learning and memory retention: Comfortable states facilitate better information processing and memory consolidation. When we are relaxed and at ease, we are more receptive to learning, which enhances our ability to access and recall information.
Strengthened self-awareness: Psychological comfort creates a supportive atmosphere for introspection and self-awareness. Understanding our thoughts, emotions, and motivations enables us to engage in meaningful introspection, personal growth, and a deeper understanding of ourselves and others.
Increased openness to insights: A relaxed mind is more receptive to insights and the “aha” moments resulting from a more universal consciousness that exists beyond our physical being. Psychological comfort enables the brain to make novel connections between seemingly unrelated ideas, leading to breakthroughs and creative solutions. All things are interconnected, therefore, reinforcing these common connections opens us to higher levels of intuitiveness and an expanded state of conscious awareness. We think, feel, and interrelate as one embodied consciousness.
In summary, psychological comfort is crucial for activating higher levels of conscious awareness as it allows us to direct our cognitive resources toward complex tasks, promotes cognitive flexibility and mindfulness, enhances emotional regulation, improves learning and memory, and fosters conscious awareness and openness to insights. When individuals are psychologically comfortable, they are better equipped to engage in profound cognition, problem-solving, and self-exploration, ultimately leading to a more enriched and meaningful conscious experience.
So you see, as we spiral into higher consciousness, we transcend the limitations of the thoughts and behaviors of an underdeveloped ego. The great fallacy of discomforted growth dissolves, therefore, we evolve.
Psychological comfort allows us to move beyond the confines of unhealthy thought patterns and self-destructive habits. We become more attuned to a more evolved universal wisdom, intuition, and compassion. This heightened awareness enables us to experience a profound sense of interconnectedness with others and the universe, fostering a greater understanding of life’s mysteries and the fundamental unity that binds all living beings. In essence, psychological comfort opens the gateway to higher consciousness by facilitating the expansion of our somatic embodiment toward a more enlightened and compassionate existence.
