Let it come to you...

How many of us run like headless chickens in a direction that we “think” might be the right one?
How many of us run like headless chickens in a direction that we “think” might be the right one? We don’t pray about it, we do not await any “pre-approval” or “confirmation” from God and then we just go into a direction, hoping it was the right direction. Then things flop, and we are left with question marks.
How many of us truly “Let things come to us?”
If we are also told to take faith-based action, which is truly important, how many of us go into a direction of what WE think is best for us, without going to God first for His blessing or trusting that God will send the right thing at the right time?
When we let things “come to us” we are operating from a place where we are COMPLETELY and WHOLEHEARTEDLY patient with God’s timing, but we are also in complete trust with God, knowing that what is to come is going to be the BEST of the best, for us.
2 Peter 3:8-9
“But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
Psalm 27:14
“Wait for the LORD;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD.”
However, this, to some, suggests we just wait for the arrival of everything? We don’t need to do anything as everything will just, in time, fall into our laps? Well no.
When we are completely accepting Jesus into our hearts, mind, spirit and body and we ACTIVELY grow a relationship with Him, because we CRAVE a relationship with Him, we will be able to take faith-based action in the direction we are meant to go. The Holy Ghost within us, is what makes us crave a closer intimate relationship with God, but He also becomes the captains of our ships. Like a moth to a flame, the right thing will be calling us because it will be led by the Holy Spirit. In a sense you should also see this as “it coming to you” as the notion to go ahead, the notion of taking faith-based action, will come, due to the Holy Spirit’s guidance.
Proverbs 16:9
In their hearts humans plan their course,
but the LORD establishes their steps.
John 16:12-13
“I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.”
When we look at the fruits of the Holy Spirit: Love, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, joy and humility, we need to use these as our guidelines to all decisions we make in life. If you find yourself constantly going back and forth, indecisive, feeling fearful and scared; know these feelings are NOT from God. God does put us outside of our comfort zones for growth and yes it can be scary, but the yearning desire to run through the scary part, will become stronger and stronger until we do it, if it was what God meant for us to do. We do not grow when we are stagnant. We cannot expect to pray a prayer of growth, without expecting that there will be challenges along the way to help us grow.
Isaiah 64:8
Yet you, LORD, are our Father.
We are the clay, you are the potter;
we are all the work of your hand.
Satan does not want us to grow so he clouds our minds with fears. When we are stuck in fear, we are also stuck in life, living an unfulfilling life. God never meant for us to be stagnant. God wants us to grow, grow in wisdom, strength and knowledge and Honor Him in doing so. God meant for all of us to be dynamic because we are made in His image, and being held back by fear is the opposite of being dynamic.
2 Peter 1:3
“His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.”
So, to bring this all together, it all starts with one thing. Truly accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior so that the Holy Ghost can reside within you. He will steer you, He will make sure you take faith-based action when things come to you and He will help you find excitement instead of focusing on fear. He will fill your entire being with the fruits of the Holy Spirit, and therefore you will have clean clear focused direction that is FROM God and not from what YOU think is best for you. Let God’s will be done as He sees fit, for your life. He created you for a purpose and your life has meaning as He meant for it to be. Let Him come to you so that your fulfilling life can be lived as God intended, and you will soon find, operating with the presence of the Holy Spirit, that He has removed ALL the guesswork for you. You just need to trust Him and let Him guide your every move and allow God to “let it come to you”.
Isaiah 30:21
“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
