An Elevator Individual and an Escalator Individual
I had the opportunity to have a Life Coaching session with this group of Young Single Adult, from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
As Life coaches, our Job is to help people become successful in their Life path.
Some of the ways we do this is to engage people in deep thinking, using objects, machines, or any devices, that can help them better understand where we are driving to.
That’s a great way to teach people about the importance of continuous growth and development.
An elevator can be a metaphor for people who reach a certain level of success and then stop there. They may be content with their accomplishments, but they’re not moving forward.
An escalator, on the other hand, is a metaphor for people who are always striving to improve themselves. They’re always learning new things and taking on new challenges.
I think the lesson I taught the young adults is a valuable one. It’s important to remember that success is not a destination, it’s a journey. If we want to be successful in life, we need to be willing to keep moving forward and never stop learning.
Elevators can teach us about the importance of patience. When we’re waiting for an elevator, we have to be patient. We can’t just push the button and expect it to arrive immediately.
We have to wait our turn. This is a good lesson for life, because there are many times when we have to be patient in order to achieve our goals.
Escalators can teach us about the importance of momentum. When we’re riding an escalator, we can’t just stop in the middle. We have to keep moving with the flow of the escalator.
This is a good lesson for life, because if we want to be successful, we need to keep moving forward. We can’t just stop and wait for things to happen.
